You can tell just by the reactions of all the current kpop groups how popular and loved he was in Korea back in the day. No one else got that response and respect when performing. He was what a lot of the current idols grew up listening to and aspiring to be like. King!!! This was the best performance of the night. Still watching it

Two things I absolutely loved about this performance: 1.) When Rain first came up out of the stage. The screams and cheers were epic. He hadn't even started singing and he almost had a show stopper. It is doubly inspirational because he hadn't slept all night the night before to prepare for the MAMA stage. 2) Kai's face at the end of the song: "A floating stage? I want a floating stage." Rain: "This is what happens when you are epic, people give you floating stages. Swag."
Rain got the stage in the palm of his hands because he owns the stage! One thing i respect about him is his character and work ethic is that he went from extreme poverty to a legend in Kpop, probably the king of KPOP! He did make a lot of beautiful songs, especially How to Avoid the Sun which made me kinda teary-eyed.
When the performance started I was like: "who's gonna perform?" and all. But then I saw him and: "OMG IT'S RAIN! RAIN! RAIN! OMG I LOVE THIS SONG! OMG HE'S PERFECT! OMG YES!" I was not expecting him at all, such a beautiful surprise!
