You probably know already but Day6 is under JYPent, and debuted on Septmber 7, 2015 with Congratulations. All members, except for Dowoon, were training to be regular idols, but their leader Sungjin just couldn't dance no matter how hard he tried. They didn't want to lose his voice, so the agency made them a band since some had little experience playing instruments. Dowoon joined the company specifically as a drummer, and was the final piece of Day6. So thank you Sungjin and your inability to dance for giving us one of the best kbands in existence. Dowoon was the only member that didn't get vocal lessons during training because he just wanted to stay in the background, but he started taking them a few years ago. No one forced him to, he just wanted to. He has a few solo songs, and is sometimes heard on b-side tracks.

Jae parted ways with JYP at the end of his contract and is doing his own thing. I know he moved back home to the US but im not sure if he is still there.

One of the main reasons I decided to stan Day6 is their pure enthusiasm, you really can tell they love what they do. They work so well as a team and you can tell they’re all genuinely good friends. I highly recommend you check out more of their music because their discography, especially their b-sides, is incredible!
