Wow, the destruction of that bunker was very thorough, its absolutely smashed to pieces. Hard to imagine the power needed to inflict such damage. Thanks for sharing this 👍🏻

Someone really did do a good job on that bunker, the damage is unreal, you said maybe a bomb direct hit, looks like a Grandslam bomb went in through the front door. Yet again, you have found us something very special to view, and those trenches are just amazing as well. Thank you for sharing and taking us along. Stay safe and well my friends

Good morning from Arizona. Thank you for yet another fascinating video. The random artifacts are in surprisingly good shape. One is even thoughtful enough to have a handle on it. If it were a lookout bunker, are there signs of what it would have been protecting? ... Particularly impressive girders. Those didn't just fall like a feather. ... Do you ever come across any other explorers while you are "out and about?" Ty again. Keep well.

Really cool to see this bunker, reminds me of the long line defence bunkers you saw in early films where troops would gather from the cold like in battle of the bulge movie. A old fella I used to care for used to tell me stories of of how they were ordered to destroy these and often used captured ammunition. Bit of a duel purpose thing to get rid of 2 problems in one go

What a cool find, it probably took thousands of pounds of explosives to destroy this bunker so completely. Thank you and EE for finding this for us to see. Can't wait to see what you find in the special forest.

Another well done video HH. I think you will find the Soviets blew the bunker post war as they did with most in Poland. The roof construction reminds me of bunkers built in test & development facilities. The I-beams made it so you could use lighter rebar to hold the upper concrete together. The terrain appears to be flat with the trenches cut in. New trail cams, are we going back to the ghost forest? Great work, EE is growing in size. Stay safe and well.
That could very well be what happened there. Really tough made they were and such heavy rood it seems to have been. Tons of trenches and trail cam are for several new explores that we are going to do also the " Lost Forest " yes. Thanks William :)

You can't imagine 8000 soldiers at this location now.
The quality of the air pumps is very good.

15:35 it looks like a feed through of an antenna cable.
Actually, you should have shown the top of the roof as well.

Great episode. Whatever hit that bunker must have been pretty large bomb. Hope you brought your metal detectors. Looks like a prime spot. Stay safe out there.

It’s amazing to see so many trenches in one area. Even with only one bunker being there it had to be a very active area. So many small features lying around the area. The bunker definitely took a direct hit from something. Am thinking a bomb was dropped on it. Not having a good view it looks like the walls were blown outward and the ceiling collapsed into it. Must have been horrifying to be in that bunker when it was destroyed.

Now that's quite an amazing find. That bunker has had a massive internal detonation, which has pushed the walls out and dropped the roof. Most likely Soviet, Post-War, because it seemed to be the thing to do with old nazi bunkers, that there was no further use for, but the amount of explosives used, must have been massive, looking at the thickness of those walls. Most probably a command bunker, but I guess we will never know for sure. Another historical mystery for future History Hunters to discover. So glad the Eastern Front trip went ahead, so that we could see such amazing things. Many thanks to you both! Stay safe!

Fantastic to see what you have come across here. Could be a monitoring outpost out on its own to relay back information. There doesn't appear to be remnants of any internal items, so may be it was cleared out and then demolished. Look forward to what else you and EE find and show us.

Post ww2, the Alies destroyed many bunkers by sealing them up, filling with water, and detonating an explosive device inside. It's called hydraulic demolition. The blast wave pushes the walls out and drops the top straight down. Several bunkers in Grafenhower were done like this.

Great video I don't know if it would be a good idea but what about some drone footage with maybe some lidar footage would be cool with all the things you guy's find I think it would expand you channel so much more but it's just an idea great and wonderful channel looking forward to seeing what you come up with next

Hello, HH and EE, from looking at the totallity of the destruction of this bunker, I would guess that it had been done after the War by the Russians, otherwise it is likely that there may still be some remains trapped inside. The post War scenario is by far preferred to actual battle damage. Thank you for sharing this amazing video, God Bless and stay safe.

Wow, that bunker was blasted! I wonder if the Soviets used these old areas as a training ground also since the trench system is still so deep and prominent in some areas? Maybe they blew it up in some practice scenario? I am surprised that big tree survived the blast! That thing from the roof was an antenna? Well for us it is a little mystery but could very well be that the Soviets just blew it up after the war.

A great find and definitely an important bunker. In the Netherlands along the coast, part of the Atlantic Wall, the Germans crammed a command bunker full of all kinds of ammunition that they did not want to drop into Allied hands. Then let it explode. That bunker looked almost the same as this one. The bunker has now been demolished.

Looks like that bunker got blown up from inside. Could have been hit by artillery and a second explosion of ammo stored inside was set off. That rectangular metal piece is interesting. Could be German or Soviet. It may be the base/battery compartment cover for a radio - it obviously had electronics in it. My first thought was a field phone, but those were bakelite on both sides.

That bunker looks like it blew up from the inside from how the debris is laying. It looks like the roof lifted, walls moved out and then the roof came back down

The concrete foundation blocks you showed us were very interesting. Is it possible that this bunker was a gun battery rather than a command or supply bunker? It looks like it was built with the opening toward the Red Army's direction, and the opening you showed reminds me of the openings in castles that archers would fire out of. Flak 88 used as an anti-tank gun maybe?

Holy Toledo!!! Curious on the amount of TNT it took to blow that bunker up. I know the allies,after the war, tried to blow up some bunkers,but failed. From the looks of it, I think it was blown from the inside,but who knows. Great to see it anyways and with the bullet holes here and there; very nice. Too bad you didn't decide on bringing the metal detector; would have been something to check out some of those defense lines/trenches. Maybe another time lol. The forest you speak of going back to(haunted), is it the one we have visited before? Thanks EE for a great observation on the "slot" in that bunker too. Nice going. It isn't easy to tell from the video; however, do you think the bunker was imploded? All the heavy I-beams and concrete would survive an exploding bomb one would think. EE makes me think about my 8y/o grandson and the adventures he has already had. Stay curious EE.

I have heard that at the end of the war and for an early bit after the Soviet's often put seized ammo they got from German stockpile locations into bunker they were about to blow up to add to the explosion. That might explain the total destruction of it. I was thinking, you had mentioned there was artillery training at this location perhaps this was the observation bunker for that part of the facility. You have definitely piqued my interest. Hmmmm ghost hunting, wish I could join you. Secret bunker is no longer a secret HH and EE of course were successful in locating it, as they NEVER surrender. Can't even imagine that thousands of German soldiers trained there, at one time. Massive trench system ideal for training. Love EE's running commentary in the background. He is commanding and leadning his own troops off to battle. That bunker that was blown up was so well constructed. Some heavy duty bombing took place to bring that structure down. Yes, wonder what it was used for? Must have been extremely important. Let us know if you find anything more on it. Another very informative video. Thank you so much EE and HH.

It would appear that the explosive force was from the inside outwards, so a demolition job. Very interesting discovery nonetheless.

2:59 unless i am mistaken what you are holding looks like a tank periscope, it appears to be either steel or eluminmium? Either the driver or Commanders these are fitted on the hatch so if they start taking fire they close the hatch and use the periscope. 13:22 THAT was what the RAF called a 'high value' target! It looks like it has been hit by a 'tallboy' or 'blockbuster' bomb carried by Lancaster bombers specifically to destroy heavily fortified bunkers. Shame you dont have the Kruzer with you - you will probably find HUGE bomb fragments and shrapnel. These bombs were designed to punch through many feet of concrete then explode within.💥💥💥💥

Usually if it was taken over they used the structures. Either the Germans blew it up while retreating or it got bombed with Germans taking cover in it. I cant imagine there isn't soldiers under all that rubble.

Eagle Eyes is all boy. Don’t climb up there Eagle Eyes and there he goes lol. He has to be a great companion on these trips. Like you, it’s puzzling why there was only one bunker in this area. What ever destroyed it had to be massive. It’s surprising to walk so far and find many pieces of the war lying around and only find the one bunker. I wonder if something else is hidden underground?

All of those trees are very young with the exception of the tree you boy was hugging witch was from the ww2 time only it small bak then as for the bunker it was probably blown up in the 1959 s or early 60s because all that was under Russian control until 80s or 90s
