It's weird. When it happens, you feel like you're the only one until you realize how many others have been abused like that too. I know how hard that must have been for you to share your testimony like that. Thank you and god bless. Continue what you do.

What’s weird is several years ago I listened to this & thought “what happened to me was my fault” because I saw innocent in the child Janette describes herself as but not in myself.
But in the middle of the night a few weeks ago I listened to it and it just hit differently. I understand now why I felt that way. And it’s funny how I felt an overwhelming feeling to watch this video at 3 AM despite struggling with it over the years. But now I might say THIS is her best spoken word.
God bless you sister. If your testimony brought healing for just one it was worth the sharing and it was worth it for me. I pray I can be healed like you and be courageous like you are sis. I love your petty!

Dear God I thank you for this woman, this woman of God, this spoken word piece...Im a spoken word artist and I've never had the guts to tell my testimony this way...my testimony is almost identical to this and I thank God for this...this moved me in a way thats unexplainable...in tears right now...thank you.
Amen. This is such a inspiration to victims of sexual abuse. The scars....only Christ can heal. I believe Christ gave this woman insight and wisdom into many things she inquired Him about concerning her own struggles, and with the wisdom she attained she used it for the glory of Gods name. God is the only one who can turn tragedy into a testimony.

Wow. When I was five, my innocence was shattered by my sister's best friend. That was 42 years ago and I have never forgotten those moments. But thank God, I didn't totally submit to legacy of that abuse. God saved me and kept me for my wife. The scares are still there, but through the love a God, a good wife and an accountability partner...I have the victory.
i was in tears because i experienced almost the same thing and Jesus came and wiped everything away. he took all the pain away. Thank you lady for being bold to share your testimony through your poem. May God be the source of all things in your life. Glory to God

Wow, this is beyond beautiful! This woman has showed us that God has pulled her out of darkness and that He is truly amazing! Praise be to Him, there is nobody like Him!
Very earth-shattering but love how she still worships God even though her youth was stolen. I heard a testimony of a woman who had been molested repeatedly as a child and she became involved in all kinds of rebellion later on. At one point, though, she had a near-death experience, and when she saw Jesus, the only thing she could think "why didn't I do more for you, Jesus?" and she didn't give a thought to misfortunes which befell her while alive in this mortal body. He is so overwhelming that His glory washes away all grief and all we can do is stand in awe.
Speechless....God used her pain as a testimony and to bring people closer to him by letting them know that their is always hope and happiness in him! Amen

The fact that she is able to articulate such victimization and the theft of innocence when there are so, so many little girls, young ladies and women hurting from this and the questions in their hearts are endless. oh i both love and hated this ... loved is obvious as the talent with which she is gifted but the mirror she holds up for me means the veil is now lifted and i have to see me....and i have to see him...again... both of us sinners... and i have to forgive him.

I was introduced to this video today and i watch the entire video and i cried. i cried because i, like herself went through the same thing. wondering the same thing. and through these trials no matter how much i stubble , no matter how many times i trip, God won't let me fall. so thank you for your testimony. This poem hits too close to home. Praise be to God that He left us a Comforter! Satan is a deceiver, I was deceived for a very long time, but God WILL heal, restore, and make free!!
that was very powerful..I was molested as little girl if someone wasn't touching they were looking...until one night my mothers step-son succeeded after many attempts...my father went to prison for raping a white woman and he left my mother with 4 children & pregnant with me...and I came out looking just like him(so every time my mother sees me she relives the most painful day of her life so needless to say she and I are not....) years later... my father is released and he changes his name which changes his acceptance of me but then he tries to molest me as well(mid twenties... I still don't get it ) but long before that my weight & my style of dress became my shield of protection as well. this lady literately retold my story in away that I could have never told it. So while I am believing God for restoration I am trying to deal with a lot...because all of the sexual molestation and abuse didn't have to happen! yadda yadda yadda before I get mad I like the poem

Tearfully I thank you God for using this ministry of spoken word and your child (Janette) that delivered such a moving, powerful and healing word, that could only come from you. This is going to help so many that are broken, and unwilling to seek restoration because of the enemies lies. God bless you all and let us all pray that those who need this testimony will see it and give God the Glory, Praise and Adoration that is due Him.

My God...Janette...ikz, is soooo anointed...This is exactly what I needed to hear for this time in my life. This poem is truely amazing! My hands are still shaking bc of the impact this poem/testimony has on my life and spirit. For so long I have been angry and hurt and unable to trust those around me..even my family. I wouldn't be able to be in a room alone long enough to make a difference with someone especially a man without my sis present without having a panic attack. The mistrust I felt for both male and female other than my sis and mother was extremely evident growing up.

Bt as an adult I am proud that i am able to bare witness in this change through God's help. As an adult I was able to realize none of that was my fault and that I am not a dirty person for experiencing this. I don't know where I would have been had it not been for Jesus.
