He was featured with the a Capella group The Bass Gang on the Lorde song Yellow Flicker Beat. On second thought, The Bass Gang may break you.Tread carefully.

Yes!!! I love Colm but not many people react to him. Next I would recommend Burn Butcher Burn as it is one of my personal favorites of his.

Colm is absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see you go down this journey! His collabs with Jonathan Young are phenomenal, and his cover of Burn Butcher Burn is fantastic!!! He also plays just about every instrument known to humanity... including all the ones in this video. As though that weren't enough, he is also a brilliant composer. Love this man and his unicorn voice!

Thank you for breaking DJ there Achimerick, loved the "Error 404, DJ not found" moments as soon as Colm starts singing. Also, DJ, I loved Queen of the Damned, have not seen that film in many years but now I have to try and find it again. Need to see you react to Colm with The Bass Gang and their version of Yellow Flicker Beat (arranged by Peter Barber). It is amazing! #DJantlers #DJsHerd #HerdMind

He sings every part, he plays (practically) every instrument, he’s also done some some collabs with Johnathon Young i think (saw the new video you did) and i love Colm’s Danny Boy, I wanna be in the Cavalry and loch lomond. He’s also pretty much always in an Aran (sp?) sweater

That was the first song I heard The Bass Gang and is still my favorite. I’m not a huge fan of Celtic music but I do listen occasionally when I get in the mood. And when I do I always listen to him because he has such an incredible voice. It is extremely unique. He sounds like he gargles with gravel every morning. It really works.

Welcome to the Colm Fanclub, glad you were sitting down for that one! And yes, this man has an absolutely nutty vocal range, he can dig deep into the trenches and soar the heights while keeping perfect tonality. Epic, rumbling bass, crisp falsetto, and everything in between to perfection. Check out his rendition of Misty Mountains Cold, and prepare for THE bass note of all bass notes, it'll pin you to the floor!

Colm really is amazing... and the sheer range that he's got is... just out of this world. I do love the work he's been doing since he started bringing in instruments, but I honestly also really just respect what he did early on, where it was him doing three parts on things like sea shanties XD

The only voice I can think of that is similar is Canada's Leonard Cohen. who wrote and performed Hallelujah, and a bunch of other Music/poetry.

With leonard cohen's that's his natural voice that got husky and deep over time but Colm intentionally darkens it.

Great reaction! Love Colm's unique voice - so varied. As everyone is saying in the comments he features with the Bass Gang on their version of "Yellow Flicker Beat" and also has a bunch of collaborations with Jonathan Young on some metal sea shanties. Yes you read that right; metal sea shanties. They also have a couple of other collaborations on Jonathon's channel - well worth checking him out as well!

Oh, you like Irish/Celtic music? Really? Then you must dip your toe into the absolute JOY that IS Malinda Kathleen Reese. RUclips channel is just "Malinda." Her soprano is angelic and is as far above the norm as Colm's bass is below it. Stunning. She's done some collabs with basses, as well, such as The Bass Gang. So you'll eventually encounter her whether you want to or not. :)
