Great reaction. The O'Keefe Music Foundation has kids covering this song, they kill it.
Highly recommended. It will make you smile for days!
Yes, indeed.
And also, what about kids covering Korn's 'Freak On A Leash'? The O'Keefe Music Foundation recorded that too.

Came to the comments to upvote this comment, that I knew would be here!😄
Blew me away. Those r some talented kids.
They did a great job. Crazy they gotta be adults by now.
They are the 21st centuries Pink Floyd. This music will take you places and it hits your soul. Great reaction!
🤦♂
This song was my go-to song when I was struggling with depression... The lyrics were deeply inspiring to me, with its concepts of 'stepping though my Shadow, coming out the other side', telling me that the crappy things I was feeling/experiencing were necessary to my personal development, that there was something good on the other side of it. It was absolutely true. I've been depression-free for over 7 years now, and while this song didn't give me everything I needed to beat depression, it put me on the right path.
Excellent to hear you are doing well. Keep spinning
@@larryfoster423 Thank you for your comment ❤️ Spiral out friend ☺️
All the best to you!
@@user-fm8xs3hr3w and to you ☺️
Every video
You’re now ready for Lateralus, young grasshopper.🤯
I think you would also appreciate a combo of Pushit (studio) and Pushit Live (Salival) back to back. Two completely different interpretations of the same song, plus you get to hear a studio quality live performance. And Pushit is a super progressive song. One of their best.
Pushit is my favourite of theirs. The beginning of the last section always chokes me up. "And if when I say I might fade like a sigh if I stay...."
There are so many reasons why I love tool. As EVERY song is magical, the real tool army has much respect for each other that they respect each other's opinions as much as their own. There is no real bickering even though perspectives may differ.
I love Manyards speech just before the live version. To me they are like two different songs
Tool gives me everything i need from music ....Everything
They honestly don't have a bad track. ONCE IN A LIFETIME BAND. ✌️
Truth
Can I gently disagree? I think they have some of the best, most well written and performed, intelligent songs. The albums also have a ton of filler. 4 or 5 "songs" and then a bunch of ambient stuff that does nothing for me. Maybe I don't do enough drugs for that part.... ;)
@@ThomasTallant it’s probably not drugs, it’s just not for everyone.
@@ThomasTallant I might push back a bit. The majority of the "filler" absolutely has meaning and is there for a reason. It may not stand out as obvious, but it's there to expand your experience and get you thinking and feeling...
@@johnjohn37371 I'm aware, but it doesn't change the fact that said fillers sometimes drag the albums to the point where they're a chore to get through to me. There are some really good ones I really enjoy tho; Intermission from Ænima is my favorite Tool filler.
I have watched/listened a hundred times. The fact that you don’t interrupt the song to hear your own voice is perfect. Thank you
Tool are the gift that keeps on giving. There is no bad track. I am sure that based on what this channel is about, The Grudge would be straight up your alley, both musically and topically. It is such a powerful song, it makes me tear up everytime I listen to it, great message and so much to learn from it for everyone (unless you are totally zen maybe 😂)
This song is about the transition in human physiology from 22 pairs of chromosomes( aboriginal peoples) with a unity consciousness, to 23 pairs with a chaos consciousness, to 24 pairs, and what the future of evolution could hold for humankind, and what kind of consciousness we will possess.
I remember the first time that I listened to Tool. It was in 1999 sitting in a parking lot waiting for my girlfriend to get out of basketball practice. I got their cd randomly at a local music store, I don't remember why I picked that one. But Tool has been my favorite band since that year. It was the album with the recipe in German.
Die Eier Von Satan in Aenima (same album of 46&2).
I think every Tool fan remember the first time they hear them. I was lucky enough to discover them live in a small venue, they opened for Fishbone. I was here to see Fishbone, not a lot of people were arrived, so they were playing live 1 meter in front of me, you can imagine what I felt.
This day changed my life, not a joke, a real different way for me to listen to music since this day.
@@ooO0VicariouS0Ooo That's very cool. I bet that was awesome
Discovered them on the guitar hero dlc from like 06, been down ever since
@@ooO0VicariouS0Ooo I can remember listening to Sober over and over on discman in the high school smoking area when it first came out. The video was on constant rotation on Much Music for weeks.
I heard Tool/Sober for the first time when i was told i drank too much... I was 18... From then on ... 😮😊
Epic Band!
I'm not the biggest Tool fan around, but Danny Carey is a legendary drummer.
MORE TOOL, PLEASE. 🤞✌️
Maynard is in two other bands. A PERFECT CIRCLE and PUSCIFER. BOTH BANDS HAVE AMAZING DISCOGRAPHIES.
It's kinda crazy that every song on every album is different but still sounds like them and there is always a Tool song for whatever mood or atmosphere you want to create. It's all introspective which makes it timeless.
Really gotta appreciate Tool and how they forged a completely unique and mind blowing sound all their own. Can't really categorize them in any specific genre.
TOOL IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL. ✌️
I really enjoyed your reaction, Sabina. Watching you listen to and absorb the music, it seems like you "get it."
TOOL creates their music and then once the song is finished, it gets handed off to Maynard (the singer) he listens to it for days, perhaps weeks to allow the music to speak to him and then conjures the lyrics.
Even in the days of CDs they didn't include lyrics on the liner. The vocals are meant to be another instrument to speak to and be interpreted by each listener.
All my best to you, Sabina. I enjoy what you do.
"Subtitle" style comments without interrupting the song is THE way to do it. Enjoyed yr reaction. Spiral out, keep going!
TOOL gets into my soul.
You need to keep going because TOOL isn’t just music, TOOL IS AN EXPERIENCE !!!
There's a video of Maynard performing live and he puts fan in a choke hold pins them to floor and sings entire song without missing a note
Maynard is indescribable!!!! Love Perfect Circle as well. He dominates in both bands!!
"Forty Six & 2" is a song by the American rock band Tool, featured on their 1996 album Ænima. The song's title refers to the concept of humans evolving from having 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) to having 48 chromosomes (24 pairs) - 46 plus 2.
The concept is inspired by the work of psychologist Carl Jung and Drunvalo Melchizedek, who proposed the idea of human evolution to a higher state of consciousness through an increase in the number of chromosomes. The song delves into ideas of personal growth, self-discovery, and transformation.
Musically, "Forty Six & 2" showcases Tool's signature progressive rock and metal style, with complex time signatures, intricate drum patterns by Danny Carey, and powerful vocals from Maynard James Keenan. The song has become one of Tool's most popular and enduring tracks, frequently played live and highly regarded among fans.
Thanks for checking this one out Sabina, you’re the best! ❤
You're so welcome!❤️
Lol
Yeah I would recommend only listening to the audio when listening to TOOL for the first time! Such a great experience to sink into the music and let it wash over you.
They are a gifted band.
Not a song I’m familiar with. But, the start was reminiscent of early Pink Floyd. I’m hearing vocals reminiscent of The Cult. Drumming that’s likened to the recently departed Neil Peart from Rush. So many positive influences make this a song worth listening to…a band for all seasons. Loved it.
this song contains a drum-percussion job "you" can realize only in the the live versione with the camera on drums .... INCREDIBLE!
My favorite Tool song ♥️ This song taught me about taking my present circumstances and pushing through it, growing and evolving to be better.
I actually love how you do these reactions. No pause and text is so great! ❤❤❤
Thanks a lot!!
@@sabina1118 you're welcome. It's wonderful to see someone come to reactions from a place of understanding ❤️❤️❤️
My first Concert was in 1997 or 6. Rock am Ring. Don´t know since then ... G`n`R, Tool, Deftones, Limp Biscuit ... i am down ...
okokokokokok whoever is chosing these songs for you are picking the most closest songs to me, i love it! Thanks again
The dynamic design of each instrument, including vocals, of each song is impressive, but all the more so in how they combine. Not many bands out put in the levels of complexity, the many layers of Tool. Looking forward to you doing Tool - Wings for Marie pt 1 and 2 (hopefully in one solid reaction) as I believe it will match many of the things you appreciate about music.
Also I would love to see you react to Ren - Hi Ren, honestly surprised you haven't yet! It's right up your alley as well.
Also do judith by perfect circle... first need to hear the anger before you can hear the acceptance in wings for marie.
I'm OG Tool, for me it's the intelligence of their music, certainly music for adults. I grew with them album after album. Peace
Good to see you back on TOOL!
Speaking of drums....
Can't wait to see you react to "Pneuma" live with the drum cam on TOOL's drummer, Danny Carey. You won't believe it.
i very love this song 😘😘😘 next try to Korn - Did my time. thank you.
This and Sober are epic.
All tool music is made to crank up. To feel the power.
When you can listen to this album straight through. Like 70’s & 80’s bands Tool pays attention to song order that as a whole has ebb and flow like a song. Even included a hidden track. Tool is an all time great band each member is so talented
Loved your reaction!
Tool is anything between a baby pool & the ocean, depending on how good of a swimmer your mind is. You're not alone in the deep.
every member of this band is one of the best musicians alive, but special mention goes to the drummer, who is arguably THE best living drummer. tool really is an Experience, and i'm glad to see you're digging into them more!
Great reaction keep going with Tool you won’t regret it I promise
If you enjoy their style.... you're in for a mind opening journey..... enjoy the ride
So everything you have said in your 3 Tool reactions so far, I would say that you are ready to experience their whole discography. I recommend that you start from the beginning with their first album and react to every song. I kid you not, every Tool song has a story, an experience, & a journey. The Tool Army will follow & subscribe 🤘🏻🌀
So glad you saw it! I requested you review it on a comment on one of your earlier vids. Sooooo. Got another one. My Immortal by Evansence. Again, this will light you up. 😊
Most brilliant band ever.. seen live 3 times.. just as amazing live!
Seen them twice hands down one of best live acts musically and visually ever. A must see for sure. Check out their song push it live sooooooo good.
You are so adorable. I absolutely love your reactions because I can see that you feel the music in your soul. You exude positivity.
Great reaction! Maybe The Grudge or Schism next! Spiral out!
Yes, they're the master of "shifting." One accentuates the other so well
I love the way you do this. Humble, respectful, and very insightful. Much respect.
My recommendation for your next Tool song is The Grudge off of Lateralus. It's mostly in 10/8 time signature, but it manages to feel very natural. Also, Maynard maintains a scream in it for almost 30 seconds. Another Tool video you should check out (it's probably a bit brief for a reaction, but it's fun) is from like 20 years ago when a fan ran on stage and decided to try to hug Maynard in the middle of a song. Maynard Judo hip-tosses the guy to the ground and pins him with a headlock while still singing, doesn't even miss a beat. It's hilarious.
Sabina sei Favolosa per la tua Bellezza, per la tua sensibilità, per come ti muovi e per tutto il resto..sei Fantastica
Gotta do their song The Grudge! Amazing drumming..lyrics and an epic scream! Don't hold grudges..they will destroy you!
I get goosebumps every time I hear this song! I’ve been a Tool fan since the early 90’s. Saw them for the first time at Lollapalooza (1991 I think) and they had to perform on the B stage.
Everything you said 💯 Im 41 been listening to them every day since middle School lol
There is a lyric on the next album that states "[We are] capable of all thats imagined and all conceivable" 46&2 is the blueprint that personifies this concept with the realization that it's not just pretty words intertwined with intelligent arrangements; it is real, it is a slap in the face and it is a call to action. Personally if I am not committing every lucid moment of my life to the pursuit of the realization of my own full potential I cannot be content. I love watching these reactions and that inevitable moment when the reactor realizes they need a moment.... or a few years.... to consider this...... I get it.
Love your style!
The best way to see tools live
Great reaction keep them comeing
Tool is Incredible!! Led Zepplin is a band that I believe influenced Tool...in fact Tool covered Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter". Really enjoy your Tool reactions! Spiral Out.....
Also Rush and Yes were influential too.
Keep listening to them. You will not be disappointed. And for the most part, their videos are more distracting on ones first listen. I recommend leaving them for later, but they are still an experience to watch.
I always say my favorite TOOL song is the last one I listened to, but put a gun to my head, 46 & 2 is it!
It’s the top of the “rock” mountain hands down, from instruments, to composition, to Maynard’s flawless lyrics & delivery.
It’s up there with anything that Zeppelin or Sabbath has done!
TOOL is a once in a lifetime band.
I remember having this cd in high school and being some what cool.
Your reactions are the best, the whole experience is enhanced watching you feel the music and the commentary throughout is spot on , what I always loved about Tool is how Danny sounds like he’s going to punch a hole through his drums striking so hard , all their songs are an experience to be sure, thanks again!
I enjoy your reactions, more Tool please!
Wooow!!! Awesome reaction!! This guys creates in another level! They are amazing!!! "Stinkfist" its my favourite Tool song!! Thanks so much Sabina!!❤
Thanks a lot!!! ❤️
I go for hours in these tool reactions, you are one of my favs. Being a fan since the beginning y’all make me want to cry experiencing it for your first time.
I recommend the live version of “push it” 🤯
Thank you!! ❤️💪🏻
You should have a look at the live video of Pneuma from Danny Carey's perspective - the drummer. Look for "Danny Carey | "Pneuma" by Tool (LIVE IN CONCERT)"
Great reaction!
Some of the absolute masters of "progressive metal"! 'Drums are crazy' - yes, that what happens when there is an octopus playing! Danny Carey is an absolute beast of polyrhythms, time signature changes, and interesting beats! To me, he's part of my holy trinity of drummers - Neil Peart (Rush), John Bonham (Zeppelin) & Danny.
I've loved this song since first hearing it. Aenema was such an excellent album!!
She didn't mention "time signatures" once. I fucking love that.
TOOL is all I need from music...... be sure to check parabol/parabola... Wings for Marie part I and II... Schism........ Rosetta Stoned and Neuma video from their drummer Danny Carey (LIVE version)..
your welcomed.....😉😘
There are never enough Tool. And this song! Freaking good . Good design is timeless.
Love your reactions! “Parabol/Parabola (yes, both is a must) is more “uplifting” and doesn’t lose that Tool edge.
I actually love this style of review! Great idea! Great job! To your question with TOOL yes they create masterpieces that are like no other. Amazing creepy beautiful life changing music ( for some of us)
Thanks 🥰
👏 I'm so proud of you. Best reaction ever 👍
Thank you!!! ❤️👏
@@sabina1118 you're welcome ❤️🥰
Your reactions are the best! I uses to live in a town where Maynard grew up until he was about 8 years old. It isn't the water because I am talentless 😂
Tool music and lyrics are powerful incations (magic) so commit your emotional energy wisely. It can raise you up but can also take you to the pits of despair (do NOT dwell in the darkness). This song reveals a path to salvation "through my shadow". Good luck x
I Love this Song. ❤.
My favourite Tool song easily.
you are so on point
Tool definitely is so different on how they approach creating songs and then performing them...very cerebral even in their more straightforward songs
This is how you "correctly" use the grid while recording. Plenty of feel without making it sound lifeless. Love this song, love this band. Super hard to cover this stuff.
In every T00L song there is always a section or couple of sections of the song that give you goosebumps. Let us know in your T00L reaction videos when you get goosebumps or that tingling across your skin like you were just touched by a ghost... ❤ love it... great vid.
Nice reaction....TOOL are the Kings.if.the unexpected
Tool best audio only in headphones. You will create your own visual no problem. More Tool please!!!
good speakers are miles better like some Focal's
More Tool please! I love how you text in your thoughts while the song plays on. I wish more music reactors would do this. Jambi would be a good song to do next.
Truly an cosmically beautiful this band be
3:25 that text won me over 👍 great comparison, it does have the same vibe
Turn this upp🎸
"Descending" (along with all their songs) you should check it out. Its one of their most outstanding composition and musicianship. Glad to see you enjoying tool.. 👍🏼🙏🏼 I look forward to your future videos
Enjoy your reviews! Best on YT

Watch the "Kids play Tool" video. You'll be just as blown away in my humble opinion.
This rabbit hole is deep!
The drums here awesome " line can be added anywhere after they start
Please, Sabina, more Tool for us all 🌀🌀🌀🙏🙏🙏
Epic🔥🔥🔨🔨💪🏻my shadow🙏
❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice Reaction. If you want more awesome pieces from TOOL. I recommend you :
Parabol/Parabola (ALLWAYS hear together without cut between these songs, Mindblowing Song)
Vicarious(Maynards critic on our inner demant of public tragedy and our craving for violence...awesome track)
Lateralus( Obvious choice many recommend because of the structure in Fibonacci sequence, but overall the track is pure joy)
Right in Two(very interesting song, religious critic touch on humanity, awesome primal drums from danny again, very nice)
Jambi (Powerfull song with very beautiful lines at the end)
Invincible (from the last album, reflecting on getting older. Man these drums kill me.)
Enjoy the ride, you have so much to hear ;)
Well put. I would also put Eulogy into that starter pack
Loved your reactions to Tool, it’s like watching a new Tool fan being born in real time. Please you must listen to the song Lateralus, it’s one of their masterpieces.
