Believe me. It still happens alot in Asian country. Divorce can be an embarrasement for the whole extended family. Thats why so many woman dont have the courage to get a divorce. So sad but thats the reality.
I agree with everything she told her mother at the end. Now that she's divorced, she has a chance at a new life. She can start fresh to give her and her daughter a better life. Her mother has the opportunity at a new life too. But she has to stop being a wimp and stop being afraid. Like the female lead, her mother needs to take that first step. If she doesn't allow herself to change, how can she live for herself? How can she be a mother and grandmother to the female lead and her granddaughter if she doesn't change?

I couldn’t understand how anybody could take a beating as much as the female lead did I could never see my mother ever taking a beating like that and if she did, I guaranteed the man who did it would be missing body parts… I like wear It went in the end, but it’s a little too much at the beginning so I can’t recommend this to anybody looking to see if it’s any good or not
On this channel they cut out the beating parts of FL and 2nd FL at least so it's not as bad. He beat up 2nd fl so bad, she chose abortion rather than have a 2nd baby with him. That's why when she wakes up 3 months later, she chooses to work with FL and apologize for her mistakes.
You are right but there are many cases of well established women being subjected to domestic violence. And many choose to stay in the marriage. It has largely to do with a society's reaction to divorced women.
