    The amount of jobs I applied to and never heard back from anyone is depressing. It’s hard to try and gain the skills you need to progress because no one wants to take a chance on you. Now I’m working in a regular job and I’ll pay out of pocket for training for better opportunities. From my own experience, employers don’t want to train employees anymore.

    • @snowsnow4231
      @snowsnow4231 6 месяцев назад

      You are absolutely correct, speaking from my experience, the economy is not doing well, budgets for projects are shrinking, office rent is going up, so companies could not afford to train people.
      Do you know what company can afford? A new Tesla for the company owner. I am serious right now. While you are paying for your own courses and studying on Saturday and Sunday to get ahead, the person who will be telling you fairy tales about tight budgets is driving a brand new Tesla and works 2-3 days a week.
      If that doesn`t make your blood boil, that same person will expect you to smile at the office and be fun. While you are overworked, underpaid and treated like a goofy.

      I worked at a popular fast food chain, one day this new kid comes and he gets asked how many hours he wants on his zero hour contract. Dude said - all of them. And you have probably guessed it, he was from Uzbekistan. Dude came on a student visa to grind money over the summer on multiple jobs, working from early morning till late night non stop, no weekends. Locals who do not want to work like slaves on a plantation are considered lazy.
      So yeah, if you do not want to live in an overcrowded £200 a month room with 4 other dudes, eat rice every day, work weekends and sleep for 7 hours a day, you are just lazy.

    I watch these videos with dismay at the fragile, depressed, delusional and downright lazy people living in a false reality and genuinely feel sorry for the occasional people who genuinely want to work! Let me tell you I left school at 14 and took any job I could, my first business failed when I lost my driving license….my mistake but I continued on! I become a trained carpenter and bricklayer then a project manager before I got made redundant when I had just got my first mortgage and my wife was pregnant, I didn’t give up, I got a loan and started a new venture and never looked back! 40 this year I live in Spain and have a home in the uk in 12 years my life changed….never give up and don’t think you are above anything because the truth is your not and you can make more money in the jobs people refuse to do than holding out for this imaginary executive job you think suits you.

    Oh yeah, there absolutely are jobs lol. Plenty. In my area a starting position for a university graduate pays £25 000, while minimum rent affordability is £30 000. So unless you make those £30 000, no agency will let you rent that place. Unless you want to rent a room and live with some substance abusing landlord that pisses all over the toilet and shouts at ghosts at 2AM.
    So to work that job you just need to have rich parents that you can live with in a nice area close to London. Very simple, just pick the right parents guys. If you failed at that, obviously just respawn.
    And we have boomers complaining at work that they hire young people who then cancel their application because they could not find a place they could rent. Boomers take on that is that those kids are just lazy and entitled. It is like a well fed person explaining to someone who didn`t eat for 2 weeks that there is really nothing special about food, just think about something else.

    1:59 the hustle consists of not relying on one source for your employment. Unless you have shares in Indeed I suggest you move on. You use between 5 and 10 sources for seeking employment.
    This is person being a decent human being and creating personal connections helps, if someone you know then knows about a job coming up at their place of employment that suits you, they will recommend it to you. Says a lot about you and your connections when the people you know won't hook you up with details to apply for a job, let alone put in a good word 😂
    Things haven't changed, before my first job years ago, I applied to near 50 jobs before I got my first interview and close to 200 before getting a job. Two things had to happen, I needed to treat everything like a learning experience and the second was accept that I would be starting off lower than what universities, social media and other idiots told me.
