Hi Guys! After over two months without a a functional downstairs and kitchen it is finally done! In todays video Steve and I sit down to explain why exactly we had to do this and what took so long. I know you have seen a lot of the renovations already but this is a more in depth video! Im so happy the work is complete and the house is mold free! It was definitely worth the wait.

I think eventually y’all should do a big sectional in that space! With the open side on that window wall so it remains free. And then a big circle ottoman in the middle. So cozy :)

You should put a big sectional in your family room, which will create a little wall between that room and the kitchen table you’re going to get eventually. So one back of the sectional will be against the window and one back will be against the dining/kitchen area. I think it will make the room feel complete. I also suggest some low cubby shelf system in the cubby space to store the toys a la montessori style.
Your house is so beautiful 🥰. For the family room I would buy 2 sofas for 3 people each. I would put the first sofa in front of the window as it is now and the other parallel to the TV so that the space under the open wall remains usable. A chest of drawers could be set up behind the second sofa, which acts as a kind of room divider and offers storrage. The two sofas would also offer enough space for all 6 of you to watch a movie comfortably.

I think that a half circle sectional couch facing the tv plus an oval coffee table in front of it would look so cute and fill that space out perfectly, while still being able to access the cubby area under the window wall! I love the new kitchen and flooring, it’s beautiful! ❤️

In your living room space I'd do a large sectional and a circular ottoman with storage. I'd put it where your couch already is and have it wrap around, so that it separates the eat in kitchen (when you get a table) from the living room.
I think leaving the picture wall open to store toys, etc., is a good thing.

Your girls are going to LOVE the bar stools, so maybe consider getting stools with backs on them. I have a daughter who is the same age as the triplets, and she has recently really gotten into climbing up them to reach whatever she sees on the island, to help with baking, etc. Might also suggest picking narrow enough stools so you can have four though, because it won't be long before Andie wants to join in that fun and less to fight over = happiness :)

I love your home! The remodel is gorgeous. For the living room area I would move the sectional back in front of the tv to separate the living from the dining area and for extra seating get two smaller arm chairs for the corners on each side of the TV wall. Eventually maybe you could have custom cabinets installed in the nook under the window wall to add additional storage and finish off that wall. Good luck! I know whatever you do will look fabulous!
I would put the back of the couch facing the kitchen. Couch facing tv. Would make the room look a little more cozy.

Get an L shaped sectional with a chase lounge. Look on Kristen Kasper’s channel. She has the exact couch that would look perfect in that space.
Kitchen is so beautiful! Practical and still classy. For that room I can see a sectional going the way you have the couch now and then going across dividing the kitchen area. Hard to explain lol. I would also close up that cubby area that looks like it's for storage and put doors on there. It looks awkward like it shouldn't be open like that. But just a suggestion...you have s very pretty home and the cutest babies!!!

I would put a fake/gas fireplace under the window wall. And add some kind of wood to the window and use that for the tv area or bookshelf.
Add wood to the back of the window to close it off**
Ps. What is the color of your floors? I absolutely love them ! And yes, to new right now to cover up with rugs although rugs are needed I would hold of also.!!! Great job Allie ! I know that was hard to go through with triplets and baby Andie !! I also can’t believe how Scarlet and her fathers expressions are so similar!! Anyways I’m glad you guys can enjoy now ! Lovely kitchen and love the wooden door. I think you could do with a lovely big green leafed plant in the corner of your room on right of your tv.
a tip for the wall with the window hole: Why don't you make doors on both sides? And then shelves / glass plates in it so that you have more storage space. also at the bottom you could make cupboard for the girls

Absolutely beautiful!!! I find that with Amazon at times....I’ll get two of something when I thought I only ordered one. It has happened a few times now and I’m starting to suspect that Amazon do it on purpose 😐 I could be wrong but it’s a bit of a coincidence that it has happened a few times to me 🧐🧐🧐
I think the window wall is dying for a couple natural wood shelves and maybe a built in cabinet in the cubby for games & blankets, dog toys etc. You can style the shelves with items but you wouldn’t lose light or the look-through aspect of the window. Also, I think I nice comfy chair next to that window wall on an angle facing the tv would bring the area together into one space separate from the dining area. Hope this gives you some inspiration, everything you’ve done so far has been fantastic. Enjoying the process as you show us! :)

Love the keg idea. I’d definitely go for a cider for our house! I’m wondering is there a safety catch on the tap itself? I have littlies in my house and that would be my main concern with getting one! I can imagine one can be fitted 🤔

Do what you suggested in the living room but have the cubby be a "secret" room clubhouse for the girls to play in. Throw some pillows in there and enjoy the giggles!

Your home is gorgeous! I've been updating our house FINALLY after living here for 6 years. It was built in the 70s and looked like it. Lol I suspect we also have a mold problem though... was your insurance able to cover most of your repairs?
As for suggestions for the living room, I'd recommend maybe 2 recliner type chairs, and a love seat or two small love seats and a recliner. Cozy and cute!
I’m super curious what their insurance covered too. We just bought a house a few months ago and there are many spots with water damage. I’m hoping there isn’t a mold problem but I’m scared to even find out because we can’t afford fixing anything right now if it ends up being that 😫
Hey Allie, I would make the area where your neuk. Is I would put a electric fire like feature in there I don’t no if you sell like in the uk we have plug in stoves that show flames etc, gives it a focal point x

Getting a larger L shape couch. That way it’ll make a small barrier between the kitchen and living room and still keep that nook available.
