I was amazed to see the fortportal expedition blew me off my feet
The highest point within the range is Margherita Peak at 5,109 metres on Mount Stanley. There are 3 other notable peaks in the Rwenzori range: Mount Baker (4,842m), Mount Speke (4,890m), and Weismann's Peak (4,620m). FYI mount Stanley is in Uganda not Congo since the highest point in Uganda is Margherita
Thank you for clarifying that
Well filmed views. You have an excellent eye for scenic videography or whoever is on the camera. Karibu Uganda. There's swahili but not so much.
Aramaga rift valley Lodge is actually the best,am seeing Uganda has a lot of scenic views, the Ugandan people need to promote their country for tourism
Thank you Liv for this great presentation and exploration of Ruwenzori mountains.. you and your friend are just classic and awesome.. I have followed all your trips and truly appreciate your coverage.
Thank you 😊
@@LIVKENYA Keep it up! And don’t change your style of presentation.
Fortportal has many beautiful spots. I went there and came back with like 14 vlogs.😂Thanks again for showcasing my country!
Wow! That's amazing
Thank you Liv for showing us Fort Portal, my mums home town. God bless the works of your hands ✋️ 🙏
You are welcome. Amen to the blessings
I am Ugandan and my home is fort portal i noticed you keep saying that there is no fort in the area but the city was named after Sir Gerald Portal, the British Consul General for British East Africa and British Special Commissioner to Uganda, and the fort that was constructed in the late 1893 by captain Lugard as a way to protect the Tooro Kingdom from King Kabalega of Bunyoro. and a young tour operator and a travel enthusiast i am happy to welcome you to Uganda
That's the great history of my land Tooro
I wanna explore too
Clearly there is rich history in Fort Portal. Thank you for this contribution. And yes, Uganda feels like home.
where is the fort......................by hearing the name, one would expect a fort there. maybe we build one😂😂

Been patiently waiting for this😍😍
I hope you enjoy the sceneries
Aramaga Lodge it may be smaller in size however it's uniquely a wonderful gem.
I agree , I think they have plans to expand in future
@LIV KENYA the place looks more potential. I'm quite sure in just a few years to come it'll be a full-fledged resort.

Hehehe, you are right my Luo friend 😃. Thank you
You forgot basongola people also leave around there and they are also cattle keepers
The basongora leave on the kasese side. They are not along this road

Wow nice city
Thanks for the content, a wish to visit fortportal Uganda because of your stress killer videos .
Greetings to your team from UAE ,Dubai..
I am glad that you are inpired
Thanks for the tour!
Welcome
Did you get your geography how Lake victoria was formed, now assume you have a bucket(L.victoria) which is being filled up by twenty taps(rivers feeding the lake) from Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya, but has only one tap (R.Nile) to release that water. Now all the rivers feeding the lake have seasonal rains which same are different some are same, when these water comes into R.Nile it is release with a tremendous force, so those banks of R.Nile are like Budalangi or Kano plains in Kenya, that during rainy seasons it is flood all over, thus what looks to you as bare land is basicaly under water at times, and unlike in Kenya ugandas have learned their lesson, those banks are death traps
Wow! This is a very practical explanation. Thank you
Finally,love your vlogs
Thank you 😊
This is good
Go to lake bunyonyi and bwindi impenetrable forests
I will next time
I thought UG road trip was done. Awesome content 👏. Scenic 🤗
Not yet. We have 1 more video. Scenic views coming
Thanks for the good work 👍
Welcome 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Rivers don't forget their path even if it takes a century the day it will rain much it will evade you
Hi sweetie. Where are you in this Uganda? You must have heard what the floods are doing on Ugandan roads. You need to consult as you move.
Thank you for your concern. We are back home safely. We will consult soon when we return.
There is actually a Fort (Fortportal in Booma) did you not visit. I was born and bred in this town
I hope to get to see it the next time I am in Fort Portal. Thank you for your feedback
This was beautiful
I am glad you loved it. The Pearl of Africa is indeed beautiful
the mountain has a number of now-capped peaks in both countries - Uganda and DRC
Thanks great to learn
@@LIVKENYA you are doing a great job. thank you
Nice one keep it up dia🙏
Thank you 🙏🏾
Hi sweetie. It's lovely to see Adhiya's smile. This time she talked more . There's a third occupant in that vehicle, what's his story?
Lol
Thanks watching.
The highest peak of the rwenzori ranges is called Mount Margherita at 5,109 m above sea level. The region's glaciers, waterfalls and lakes make it one of Africa's most beautiful alpine areas its in Uganda meanwhile not congo
Other literature says otherwise.
❤❤Very awesome keep up ......😂😂Why must you be careful not to end up in DRC
As a Ugandan 🇺🇬 from these areas, I can say that across the border in DRC there's is insecurity with some incidents of rebel activity.
Those are not rwenzori Mt, those are just hills around.
They are mountain ranges… a hill is like naguru.. if you are flying from rwanda to Uganda , you would know they are definitely not hills
Before Wights Colonial this please was part of Uganda 🇺🇬 it was Kingdom of Toro, and Bunyoro, Luo Kingdom,.!!!
Lovely content, but those are just hills not the Rwenzori mts, if you want to see the Rwenzoris then you go to Kasese!
Greatest❤

Na Congrats to Our Camera Man/Driver😂😂😂😂😂 atleast leo tumeskia sauti yake akionekana kwa camera😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Highest peak is called margherita ,
Good one!
Thank you
I don't think people in Uganda need to live near the river to survive like in Egypt. Coz the climate supports life far away from the river, besides, most if not all, the communities along the Nile Valley in Uganda are cultivators, they are not fishing communities. They also don't irrigate from the river, so no need to get close by. The river breaks banks sometimes, making you vulnerable to flood.
Crocks and hippos are not on every bank of the river. So safety isn't the issue why they don't settle there. Would may be accept that mosquitoes may be a concern.
This makes alot of sense. Thank you for this 🙏🏾
Mau ranges are also mountains
I Hv really waited for the alert .....like everyday.
I hope you have enjoyed the video
Yeah...
The last episode left me hanging somewhere in ug 🤣🤣🤣, hv been waiting to continue the tour.... thanks jaber.
@@edwardabongo5187 Welcome
So beautiful ❤
Fort Portal is indeed a Gem
Actually there is a fort called Fort Gerry which was built by Lord Lugard in 1893 and named after Sir Gerald Portal, Sir Gerald was a British colonial official after whom the town was named in 1900. May be no one took you there...
I asked around and was told there is none. I will find it next time
Unfortunately, you went to that place during the dry season, and didn't give you a really good view coz of the mist it's beautiful during the rainy season for a clear view 😍😍😍 otherwise thanks for taking us around that beautiful mountains
I can only imagine. It is indeed picturesque 👌🏾👌🏾
All this part of Congo was part Toro Kingdom And bunyoro and Luo Kingdom mr patel 😅❤
Laba ebinnyo... kumaniina
The Google translation has killed me
Idint think that sempaya came Swahili. Empaya means a he goat of he sheep. So since the guy was hairy may be the pipo considered him to be a he animal .
I guess there many explanation about the name. This could be one of them
Wow u have discovered alot.
Actually u have brought this place to limelight, people rarely visit it coz they don't know.
Government shd work on that mad road
It is indeed a Gem and it was a pleasure to explore it
Mazze video poa 😊
Asante sana Alfredo
@@LIVKENYA Mbona ujjanijibu swali langu kwa email?
Please speak in the same currency like usd. Thanks.
hi liv thanks for the video.
quick question, who is that gentleman you always with.
The videographer
All this part of Congo was part Toro Kingdom And Bunyoro and Luo Kingdom,.!!!!
More Bakonjo live in Congo than in Uganda. The pop of Bakonjo is above 5 million mostly in congo.Kiswahili in congo was the result of the influence of Arab slave traders .It is spoken mostly in eastern Congo and has a lit of mixture of French and local languages
Thank you for enlightening us.
My personal view any how, why people in UG dont live close to rivers especially River Nile its cos of dangerous animals such as crocodiles & hippos. Due to their sun sensitive skins, hippos prefer grassing at night, moving distances away river escarpments to look for grasses, not rarely do they encounter humans & de meets usually end badly for de humans, a reason enough to keep off hippos ways especially!
This makes alot of sense. Thank you for this perspective 🙏🏾
Hi Olivia and team. What is the secret of driving in unfamiliar roads without getting scared?
Ensure that your car is in good condition and talk to locals. They will always show you the safer and better routes. Also use the Google map, its accurate 70% of the time
@@LIVKENYA Thank you. But I guess you have to be a good driver to maneuver some places like the left hand roads
Btw thank you for getting back. I am your big fan and I love adventure too
Welcome. Thank you for your support
Yes, that is also another important factor
I think it's dry season
Yes it was
The access roads are off-roads, get yourself a SUV and enjoy the ride 😂😂😂
When I grow up, I will get an SUV😃
Dear friend, the name Sempaya has nothing to do with Swahili as a language, its rather derived from local bantu dialects Se (Senior male) Mpaya (Male animal) so it means a senior male animal. it has no roots for Mbaya
Sorry girls but I seem to have a problem with loading your videos on my TV. Somehow, the program stops suddenly and remains loading. A problem with my system?
I am very sorry about that. I hope it gets resolved soon
@LIV KENYA is it my TV or WiFi connectivity or the problem is on your side? Pls be clear. I am your fan
@@chegemukuria9153 There is no problem on my side
@LIV KENYA ok, but it is only your videos. Never mind thanks

Thats not fort portal its bundibudyo
Wewe....hiyo ni hickey ama naonazangu? 😂
Wewe unaona zako. Iko kwa video zote. Hebu confirm
Thanks for the video tour. It gives me back memories, I toured those parts 7 years ago. However, when it comes to Uganda nationals with their traditional beliefs, we Ugandans believe in ONE GOD. In Western Uganda including Toro he's called Ruhanga. There is NO such thing as Ruhanga of lakes ( Ruhanga we Nyanja) or Ruhanda of sun ( Ruhanga we njuba). The same applies to all nationals in Uganda. The Baganda call him Katonda which means the Creator of all creations. There is no such titles or names as Katonda we nyanja ( god of the lakes and rivers) Katonda w'omusana ( god of sun) No at all. Those small gods are found in Europe and Asia ( may be). In your video what you call gods is not gods. They are deities and angels. Roman Catholics also have deities who were once humans, they pray to e.g Maria, Yuda Taddeo, etc. Our tradional beliefs are almost the same, but differ in how we adore, worship and and seek protection using different God given languages and the level of spirits we consult for protection e.g God ( Katonda, Ruhanga, Rubanga etc) or angels ( Arabs call them Malaika), deities - Mayembe, balongo, nakahima, Lubowa etc that existed before and or after humans commonly know as Misange ( those which existed before 1st human) and these include Ndawula in Luganda, Ndahura in Rutooro/ Runyoro/ Rukiga etc; Musoke Ssewamala,Nabamba- 7 superior ( archangels) represented by a rainbow and serve God the creator. God/ Creator assigned them to guard and oversea places like Sun & Moon, Lakes and rivers, Land and mountan hills, kings protectors etc. Other lower level sprits or angels are those that protect communities, people, properties, and fight , go, to wars, e.g In Buganda they are called mayembe or mayambi meaning " helpers" So my dear, there are no gods of semlik or Rwenzori. God is one and has no equal. He assigns duties and kingdoms from different natures. The lower levels obey the upper levels. The highest level is God. The bazungu, europeans have several gods and that's their beliefs.
You people are the Best, i cant wait to watch every single upload
Thank you glad you enjoying the episodes
