Dimitris Vyzas, a virtuoso with great contribution in "laiko" music, together with his son, Panagiotis, who came from Germany for vacation in Greece, visited us and gave us this wonderful song from their new CD.
They honor us with their love, and they have our utmost respect.

There are a lot of dromoi...the bouzouki has no microtones...there is now a dead end reached on this instrument it seems. To this can be added the poor education in the use of Greek for writing lyrics. Time to relearn dromoi, increase vocabulary and wake up! This is the truth. End the boring pieces.

I will totally disagree. The bouzouki has a lot of ways to impress and it doesn t need any microtones. Since there is not any dead end in the music, I find your statement faulty. I m trying to figure out how did you make the assumption that the Greeks have poor education of the way they use the Greek language since you write in english. Think about it. In the end of story, i will tell you to look in another place to find what you are looking for, because the bouzouki speaks Greek. You get it or you don t get it... your comment is irrelevant with the video...

Simply listening to the lyrics of the 90s and onward in the 21 st Century. You dont encounter lyrics that are of the quality of the poems of Gkatsos or Seferis. Yes rembetes were simple people...I give you that. Many Greek vocalists will use microtones. Listen to Kazantzidis and many others. Are you familiar with the bouzouki of Syria, the bouzouq?? It has microtones!! Byzantine music has microtones. The lyrics these days have rhyme, rarely rhythm...iambic, dactylic and such as learnt when you study prosody. Yes I am referring to Greek songs and the lyrics used.

@@alexgabriel5423 First of all, we speak over the Greek Bouzouki. I don t want to know anything for the bouzouki of Syria. If you insist though to speak for these instruments with micro tones, i will tell you that these players, avoid to play in tones that they don t rely on the basic tone of the instrument. The Greek Bouzouki has not this problem since it plays from all the tones with comfort. But... i don t find a reason that you did a comment for a video that it doesn t have any lyrics!
