Sir, if I am not wrong , while even prescribing calcium for supplementation to prevent or treat any pathological conditions the amount of elemental calcium should be considered. In market there are different salts of calcium are available with different amounts of calcium. The RDA prescribed in books are based on the amount of elemental calcium needed.
