Sir Some science Khar is a base(chemically) and tenga chemically is acid so it is believed in assam not to take both at the same time(because acid + base = salt + water), so u neither get the benifit of acid(tenga) nor the base(khar) Another one The science behind not eating tenga in bell metal utensils is also simple. Tenga which is an acid, and as acid reacts with metal to produce byproducts which may be harmful to body, so to prevent the formation of this byproducts only tenga(acid) is if eaten quickly goes to stomach Thank you for visiting assam sir
Being an Assamese even I never got the chance to witness the process of making bell metal utensils...So happy that you took so much effort and interest to show this process...

Very Good Morning dear Bali Sir. Before beginning to write a review on this episode I would like to thank you from core of my heart that you have added my comment on Pathsala town in this episode. When I open youtube and saw the notification regarding this video I couldn't control myself. From starting to end there was not a single loophole for a negative criticism.Everything was perfect. The guide was correct, to understand Manas Tiger reserve you have to spend 2/3 days. The guide could have take you to the beautiful river '' MANAH'', on the bank of which this National Park is situated. Sarthebari's bell metal explanation was so perfect that this will initiate curiosity among scholars to do research on this great craft. Not only this, I can tell you that this is the 1st time where a RUclipsr has created such a nice video on Sarthebari's bell metal craft. I thank you on behalf of greater Assamese society. Now coming to you next episode which you have created on Tezpur. Without Tezpurs description history of Assamese film is incomplete. This is the place where 1st Assamese film maker Jyoti Prasad Agarwala was born. He had made 1st Assamese movie called '' Jaimoti'' in the year 1935. He was not only a filmmaker, he was a multifaceted personality . Jyoti Prasad Agarwala was a great poet and a freedom fighter. His song has a unique identity in Assamese music which is called as ''Jyoti Sangeet''. Apart from Jyoti Prasad Agarwala Tezpur is home for Bishnu Rabha who was another multi talented personality. He was a Poet, Lyricist , Dramatist and a freedom fighter. Bishnu Rabha's song also has a special identity which is popular as ''Bishnu Rabha Sangeet''. Noted personalities like Phoni Sarma & Padmanath Gohain Baruah was also from this place. Padmanath Gohain Baruah was the 1st president of Asom Sahitya Sabha. Tezpurs dairy will be incomplete if you don't tell about Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. Hazarika had spent his early youth in Tezpur. He was a disciple of both Jyoti Prasad Agarwala & Bishnu Rabha. Dr. Bhupen Hazarika had learnt the primary lessons of music from these two big cultural identity .While learning music under these two gems, Hazarika was awarded as Best Child Singer by HMV ( His Master's Voice) of Kolkata. If due to lack of timing, these information have skipped you can use this in description. Last but not the least, I am a great fan of yours. Not just a fan, but I have gained lots of knowledge about our India from your videos. I can surely say that, Visa To Explore will represent about the history of contemporary India & it is culture.
thanks for this information: i really really wish that if i could touch base all this when i was in Assam, i have left the state.. but yes i can put some information in description and some through voice overs, so travellers can plan out their journey and learn more about it..... Next episode is about journey form Guwahati to Tezpur and then the following day Tezpur town tour... i think some part of it will be in next episode some in next to next episode great to hear back from you.... thanks a lot..... harish....

What a mind blowing episode, such a variety, from wild elephants to kansa utensils and delicious foods. I never thought that chicken could be made with teel. But for your information goja is also available in Kolkata. We make two types, one is like you had there and the other one is 'Pora Goja' that means burnt goja. Burnt goja is blackish in colour and tastes slightly different than conventional goja. Thank you Harishji, all the best.
Being Assamese in Noida , when I wish to use traditional bell metal utensils , it becomes dark greenish due to Sulphur rich polluted air. Thanks for your beautiful video..👌🙏
Awesome experience Sir. It makes me feel so happy that simple from the comfort of my drawing room , i can explore these beautiful places with you. I feel so lucky and ofcouse my interest to visit assam has reached to a higher point now. Thank you .

Hello Harish Ji ! Namaskaar ! The onus you have taken of covering every nook and corner of our beautiful country is great and admirable...You must be enjoying your food journey...I love the way you describe your experiences after you relish each dish or item...The Goja you had is a regular sweet in most parts of Odisha and the Nimki as well...I am so happy to see such similarity in food items between Assam and Odisha...its like both the cuisines are sisters living a little distantly...The elephant apple or "Ouu" as we call it is a regular fruit as well in our dishes...It's so exhilarating to see these details...Views of Manas National Park are awesome....The elephant chasing and the puncture of the vehicle tyre must have enhanced the adventure to multifolds...And above all your detailing and attitude to cover the ethnic and rural products which are local to the areas are worth praising 👏👏👏...Despite having difficulties you managed to show us the intricacies of bell metal...Hats off...🙏....We also call it "Kansa" in Odia...And you must be knowing now Odisha also has many places where Bell Metal products are made...We extensively use it in our households while eating and also at the time any Puja rituals... Thank you and your team... 🙏
