I’m a wedge junkie. Played vokey’s for many years until I stumbled onto a forged wedge (old Callaway Tour X). Played Betti’s for a couple years and really liked them, especially how consistent and soft they felt. I’m now playing Mizuno T-22’s in my 53 and 58 and switched to the new S23 Mizuno in my 48. I like the S23’s so much I am more than likely going to swap my 53 and 58 over as well.
I'm pretty much a "buy a shiny new thing to distract me from the actual things I need to work on in my golf game like getting lessons because a new club will totally change everything" junkie. But mannnnnnnnn... do they look good! Haha, cheers!
what kind of bounce are you using in your 53? i always heard 54 was a low as you should go for sand, but 53/58 might fit my gapping (from 8) better than 54/58
@@beyoncehadoneofthebest it was originally a 52 with 9 degrees of bounce. I had it bent one degree to 53. Same with the 48, it was originally a 46 but I had it bent to 48.
Very surprised that they wore that quickly. I know that there is some wear expected as they rust over time, but you would expect a PVD finish to last a little longer than 6 bunker shots. I just ordered mine in the bronze oil can finish for the same reaon to match my queen bee putter. I might just cancel and order the satin chrome. I still want these wedges as they get great reviews in the 3.0 versio. Fepm TXG and spin rates are insane. The new version has a slightly lower launch due to changes in milling shifting weight higher in the club by 5%. Not unlike Mizuno and Edison, although Edison does much more for a more penetrating and longer wedge. Can't wait to compare to the vokey sm8's i currently have. Thanks for the review. As you noted, there are 😮 too many reviews of Bettknardi wedges.
I have had a couple range sessions off of the ground since this video as well and I'm seeing wear on the bottoms and faces on all of the clubs so far. Which again is expected, but for it so happen so quickly is a bit disheartening. Overall I think the wedges will retain the "look" I desired, but for them to charge an additional $20 for this finish doesn't sit very well. Still generally look and feel amazing and still love what I'm seeing performance wise. I have an email out to Bettinardi CS about it, I'll update when they reply. Cheers!
They have definitely worn in a bit better since the initial swings. I'll post a picture on my community tab later this evening (you better subscribe!!) Haha, cheers!
No rust on the putter. The finish has dulled slightly around the edges most likely from just putting it in and out of the putter cover. No real special treatment, just making sure it stays clean and covered. Cheers!
What grinds did you get for each of these? I’m looking into getting a similar setup with 48°, 54° & 60°, and was curious to see what you went with! Also interested to find out how these hold up. Was considering this finish (to match my putter), but after seeing how quickly that wore I may be leaning more towards the black (wondering if that will wear the same as well). Appreciate you putting out a review on these!
48* 8 Bounce C Grind / 54* (bent to 53*) 14 Bounce RJ Grind / 58* 10 Bounce C Grind. I tend to chip and pitch a lot more around the green with the 53* so I wanted the labeled versatility of the RJ grind and I'm really liking it so far. 48* and 58* I also always just play as standard and don't manipulate the face much. For the finish.... yes its disappointing... especially since they charge $20 extra per wedge for bronze. I think overall it will keep the general look I wanted, but I was hoping they would patina more over time instead of just straight up get stripped within a minimal amount of swings. I probably would have just done black to match my irons (even if it wore also) and saved $60 bucks. Cheers!
On my 58rj 3.0 and 56 303ss 2.0 i took the kbs shaft 125 stiff and did not tip the shaft, adds about 400 rpms spin and better touch, easier short shots. 48 3.0 and 52 303ss 2.0 are tipped 1.0 inch. Kbs says not to tip shaft and i agree, better feel and awareness of club head. I have got 6 feet back spin with 56 303ss 2.0 from 85 yards. Tho 9i iron also 6 feet back spin. I have hit exact sweet spot 14 times in 4 years on 56 and 52 two times in one year. 48.never. and 58 20 times so far last year alone.
Just pick these guy up. One thing I noticed was that they seemed to be pretty versatile with the grind. Also they are very soft feeling. You can even hear that in the video. Definitely need to play a month or so but first impressions seems like a very good wedge.
Just shows how subjective feel can be, they feel softer to me. Who knows... I haven't had an issue with distance with the 5.0, same delivery (when I can) and it pretty much hits the number each time. Cheers!
So those are not a Pvd finish and are meant to rust therefore the bunker wiped away the finish. The extra $20 is because of finish and they were a limited release.
Few months later now and the wedges are "aging" nicely. Absolutely love them. It was just surprising to see such a drastic difference initially. Cheers!
That is me getting golf packages delivered. First and foremost, hide them from tge wife which is stupid cause she already knows, but.. plausible deniability. Then fly off to the course
Anyone else guilty of gaming clubs just for looks? Haha, cheers!
Every single club in my bag has been purchased purely because I like the look of them, I'm way too bad for any club to make a difference.

Nice wedges, I’m sticking with the old vokey’s for 2024, I have been looking at bettinardi though
I’m a sucker for cool looking stuff and really wanted to match my putter, haha. Hopefully they age well, cheers!
Those are sick Bentinardi wedges 😲
Thanks! I’m really leaning into the look good play good mentality. Haha.

Return 'em! Just kidding. They look amazing and I'm sure they'll perform just fine. Enjoy your content bro!🤟
I'm sure they'll look great still once they patina a bit, but was definitely a bit shocked. Cheers!
How does the wedge look after few months now? Does it rust nicely? Love copper wedges, considering to grab one. Thanks!

Just picked up a Queen B 6 myself. Not a lot on YT about those either!
Still in love with mine. Editing a course vlog to post soon… rolled it real good. Now getting to the green is another issue…. Haha cheers!
Does the queen b tarnish or rust? Do you put anything on it to protect it?

Stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
This guy at a wedding told me to subscribe to you
Doing the lords work… haha. Cheers!
The RJ grind 58 is magical for real. 3.0 also good. I have a 48 3.0 and its a bit large. The 56 2.0 303ss is the best club ever.
I went with the RJ on the 54, which is usually my more chip, pitch, feel club... loving it so far! Cheers!
Quite sure these wedges will make you a winner of majors.
I know right!!!! Haha, cheers!

Look stunning I’d game them 🎉
Look good, feel good…. play good?? Haha.
I had Bettinardi wedges. They looked great, but were too firm. They were prone to flyers on full shots too. At least w/ the 56

Brah, It's BET-TI-NARDI.... there isn't an N anywhere in the pronunciation.
Fair.
@@GolfOnTap Sick wedges though and love the content!
Love me some cobble stone
Get iomic 2.0 sticky grips for them beauties
I'm actually liking the feel of the Lamkins so far. Although I had Iomics on my SM8s for a while and they were pretty nice.

When price isn't an issue 😂and Vokey's fitting options aren't important 😉
I’m a sucker for shiny things, haha. Cheers!
Why are you saying BENT-an-ardi? It is Bettinardi. Bet-a-nardi.
Yeahhhhh my bad.
Ha, there is no ‘n’ in Bettinardi, stop calling them Bentinardi
Yeah I didn't pass RUclips grammer school, my bad. Cheers!
