The "lala" part feels like the texture of the sound coming from an old gramophone that can be heard in classic French movies. It will sound very warm to those who know this feeling, and it might sound a little weird to those who don't. Some say it sounds like a ghost. To me, the texture of the sound that I would have heard in a classic movie I saw when I was a child creates nostalgia.
I feel exactly the same! I couldn't understand why people found that part scary, because for me it opens a whole world of memories and feelings... But perhaps it's because I'm a big fan of old movies...
AARON PLEASE DO A REACTION VID OF KIDS TRIES NOT TO RECOGNIZE HER FAVOURITE STAR IDOL ON ODG RUclips CHANNEL IU IS THERE SHE SURPRISE HER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KID FAN ITS A WHOLESOME EPISODE💜💜
HAHAHAHA the lalalala sound is really creepy but iu said that's her voice I guess the production just distorted it haha. But when she sang a snippet of an undistorted version on the radio of the "lalala" part she sounded like an opera singer!
even I also find that part a lil bit disturbing at first hahahaha but after knowing that it was IU's voice I really appreciate it now 😊 Here's the video of IU singing that 'lalala part' ruclips.net/video/qh8s3aRBBZ8/видео.html 😊😂
Actually, after the lyrics, my favorite place in this song is the beat where the lalala part is im very surprised that you don't like it, it reminds me more of nostalgia times and I love it. And IU seriously sings those parts of the song lol
I can't understand why many people find that part "scary"... When I hear it, I feel something like '20 vibes, like a black and white movie... Like an old sound played with a very old disc player (I don't know if it's the right word 😅)
For the best part for me, Lalalala part is my fave because she sung it live on kang Hana volume up! I can't believe that its her voice... She is insane , her vocal is no joke she can experiments new style but she nailed it as always.
The song is old style (1950- 1960 ) , the part ( lala la ) was used frequently in that era , I think I hear similar to it before in some old American & french movies , I'm sure for some people it will make them nostalgic
According to reports on March 26, IU will be filming for KBS' 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' on the 30th to promote her latest album 'LILAC'. The singer-songwriter previously held a mini concert in September of 2020 for the 12th anniversary of her debut on the show, and she'll be returning after just 6 months.
when you notice the part you said she sing it while smiling it’s the parts where she is asking us if our answer is yes and if we will still listen to her. it sounds like she is shyly smiling asking this question.🤣😅 isn’t she sweet! hehe! personally if your not touch with how she connect with us or felt her sincerity towards us. well there is a reason why she can keep her fans for a long time. she built a friendship towards Uaena so we stick to her no matter what happen.
i feel that part of lalalala~ i feel relax idk its my own feeling i like that part at first it creep me out but when you listen that song many times it feels relax im sorry for the grammatical error peace 💜
What a grateful listening party it was.*>* Especially because I can see Aaron's IU reaction every day#^^# "A day will come when I'll tell you about my dream, You'll lisren to it, right?" (IU_Epilogue)
At first, listening to Epilogue, the lalala part seems weird, but after watching her singing it in Kang Hanna's radio show, it grew on me :) On top of that, I really love the lyrics.
Thanks for making this series of reactions to Lilac! It was also my first comeback as a UAENA myself, got hooked by Hotel Del Luna. Watching your reactions is like watching myself at the time, it feels like I'm listening to them again for the first time. Keep on doing what you're doing and I hope this playlist of IU Reactions continue to increase :D
Lalalala~ was her sound🙄🤣 Ps. That gave me a creep vibes at first (bec it felt old disney princesses films which I don't really prefer) but then it resonates in me and finds it soothing already😊
Iu on this album is talking about she is leaving 20s and wana start 30s right? So i think her music on this album are really different to another. Their sounds really grown-up.. So i think on this song and specially what we watch on teaser we have a really adult conversation.. You know sometimes you just want to smoke and have a talk with your friends that really knows you well.. I really love this music
LOL I actually like the song, the lala part is definitely unsettling in some kind of way. Would rather that part be different but the rest of the song sounds great
I felt that Epilogue was a good way to end the album for me. It fits the calm vibe you feel after a long journey. Click on my icon if you want to see my full album review of Lilac!
The lalalala part for me reminds me of an old time music or movie clip perhaps. Yeah, it is a little creepy when you hear that sound alone. That was why i thought it was just inserted as a clip there. But when i knew it was IU’s voice and heard her do that live during a radio interview with Hanna, it made me more proud and luckier to be a Uaena 😅 she does things with her pure heart and intentions. That “creepy” lalala sound turned into the sweetest melody for me from this album💜 considering that the message is for Uaena. 💜
many ppl find the lalala part unsettling 😂 i guess y'all just watch too many horror movies. but srsly, that lalala part is so good when iu sang it in kang hana's radio show. the effect is what makes it creepy. lollll
IU is actually the one who sang the 'lalalalalala' part. You should hear her sing the part without any music, it was like from wayback. Like watching and listening from an old movie. It's relaxing,
As pointed out by others the noir sounding distortion was sung by her. It does sound a little creepy but I love it lol. This is my favourite track of the album.
hahaha! yeah! it felt weird the first time i heard that part...so your reaction is just normal. but after knowing the lyrics i learned to love the song more...it’s her voice she actually sing that lalala part in her first radio show guesting and it really sound the same. she tease her friend and said she sang that part thinking about her w/c is the host of the radio show she is with. I’m sure you will be able to find a clip in YT with her singing that part.
hahaha this album sound different honestly. But i like all songs it does sounds good even little awkwardly different from usual IU vibes. but i get it it's not her producing this time all are new composer she never worked with. First, I don't really like the lalala part eventho it gives me nostalgic because it sounds like broken cassete tape in the past, but when I found that's her voice ah I wish they didn't distorted it so much. It's beautiful when I hear she sang that part live.
I want call it scary but yeah still a little bit unsettling, you saw a witch , I am sorry but I saw an alien who was slow dancing en top of it , weird but that was my first image and it stuck in my head

Epilogue is a song for her fans and the lalala part is her voice
I think the lalala part is meant to sound like ladies' singing from old black and white movies or radios. Feels very nostalgic to me
The "lala" part feels like the texture of the sound coming from an old gramophone that can be heard in classic French movies. It will sound very warm to those who know this feeling, and it might sound a little weird to those who don't. Some say it sounds like a ghost. Actually the lalalala part is one of the reason that i love the song

I’m absolutely in love with this part😍 It’s like I’m in an black and white movie somewhere near the ocean🤍
You need to watch the latest IU Pallete episode to answer all your questions 😅
even I also find that part a lil bit disturbing at first hahahaha but after knowing that it was IU's voice I really appreciate it now 😊
Here's the video of IU singing that 'lalala part' ruclips.net/video/qh8s3aRBBZ8/видео.html 😊😂
actually she's the one who's singing that lalala part😂
it felt unsettling like a bit creepy at first but then you get used to it.
specially when you hear IU singing it without the instruments
Actually, after the lyrics, my favorite place in this song is the beat where the lalala part is im very surprised that you don't like it, it reminds me more of nostalgia times and I love it. And IU seriously sings those parts of the song lol
I honestly love the lalalala part, it sounds like a voice from an old movie, it's so nostalgic for me
She really sang it live its her voice lol
Its her song for her fans 😢
Lalala part makes me feel like the 70s songs in Hongkong, a little old and nostalgic
this song makes me teary eyes always...
I can't understand why many people find that part "scary"...
When I hear it, I feel something like '20 vibes, like a black and white movie... Like an old sound played with a very old disc player (I don't know if it's the right word 😅)

You will know if someone is a true uaena if it brings them comfort knowing that IU is sleeping well or that she will be able to sleep deeply.
That part is my favorite part of the song
I love the lalalala part, the vintage record player give me the 80s vibes. My second favorite song after lilac.
My 2nd fave song in the album. It sounded like an old radio or sounded like from a vinyl player. I love how it sounded vintage.
The lalala + instrumentals + the scratchy effects captured the whole nostalgic, oldschool vibe for me ☺️ Love this song very much.
The song is old style (1950- 1960 ) , the part ( lala la ) was used frequently in that era , I think I hear similar to it before in some old American & french movies , I'm sure for some people it will make them nostalgic

I actually really like the ‘Lala’ part, it creates nostalgia and sounds very dreamy, it makes the song more special
I thought MY SEA will be your fav. 🤣❤️
Well I really like the lalala cause it feels like im in the theatre or watching opera,
Epilougue is my favorite song in Lilac album
You will definitely be surprised that Lalalala in the epilogue song is her own voice, she herself said it on the radio Kang Hanna volume up.
Okay! let start the Palette, Chat-shire & Modern times album journey!!!!!!!!!!
Love Poem album, too.
i feel that part of lalalala~ i feel relax idk its my own feeling i like that part at first it creep me out but when you listen that song many times it feels relax
im sorry for the grammatical error peace 💜
This song its quite ominous, but I think she chose it to be like this because it's the last track, and it really feels like the ending of a movie
this is why IU is now called a musician or artist
The 'lalala' part is really her voice and she sang it on Kang Hanna radio... Anddddd react to IU on ODG
The lalala part sounds magical to me and actually it is my favorite part 😁 and yes it is her voice
Please react to IU on ODG episode :)
epilogue is a letter she wrote for her fans and she made it into a song but seeing many people didnt really like it is kinda sad
I actually loved this song even more because of that lalala part 💜

that lalala part remind me of the vibe from veronica song in Little Nightmare
Lalala melody is like midnight rain vibe and nostalgic feeling
Watch her latest palette episode she explains the songs
Aaron: "I really hope its not her singing"
IU: "Its really me singing"
haha

She sing that on radio guesting
I recently review this video and just thought that the wierd chorus is like old tape sound, like rewinding it
Lalala part sounds so creepy for me but yeah...it's her voice 😂😂😂 the effect changed it to the scary sound 😂
This too old guy remembers the "lala" part similar to the original star trek series intro music.
As for the "la-la-la" part... To me, this part sounds like it's being played on an old gramophone. Retro style. I like that.😊
It did sound really creepy for me too 🙊
And, yes. The lalalala part, IU sings it 😀
Love the lala part. Reminds me of insidious
these RUclips translations didn't give justice to IU's lyricism 😭😭
