OK it kinda worked. I was surprised it took out as much of the dent it did. On a dime sized ding, it reduced it to maybe 1/4 of the size to where it really isn't all that noticeable. Shocked that it fared as well as it did. Not completely gone, but acceptable

LOL "special wingnut" indeed. Aside of the fact I could build one of these devices myself for about $5 worth of generic hardware store parts, they do actually work on many dents. At least in the sense that they will pop them out acceptably enough for government work (not up to a good pro body shop standard though). The real issue is that it's actually pretty rare to get a ding without attendant marring of the finish/paint too, and this obviously does nothing for that.
Trying this now. It has been in my garage for the past 5 years, never used. There is a tiny ding on the hood of my car I am using it on. Let's see if it works - more to come
