I took voice lessons of a classical nature for about 7 years, and did loads of choir, ear training, music theory all throughout. I love that you noticed that! And yeah I just call this song “djazz” 😂 it’s so wonky until it hits that outro where it all comes together, but most people can’t tell when the guitars are distorted and vocals are screamed (hell I couldn’t tell how weird it is until I translated it to piano and heard it!)
