    Actually, I think it was Dick Vermeil on the CBS call of the San Diego State game who after the third touchdown in a row to start the game, said "I want to take this team to the NFL with me." I remember that game vividly. Being in northern California, I loved watching Marc play with the Raiders, along with Todd Christensen.

      Al Michaels and Ara Parseghian called the game on ABC. Vermeil was coaching the Philadelphia Eagles in 1979.

    So great to see Marc getting some love from SN. He could not only destroy opposing defenses, I remember getting destroyed by him in a philosophy class debate in the MARB. And it made me admire him all the more. He will always be a storied figure of our football history.
