I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again… the reason this channel is so satisfying is that it’s the perfect blend of design and engineering mixed with tactical execution tips along the way. Ryan and Tony are a powerful team!
I don't even remember how I found this channel, but it's easily been one of the best discoveries. Hope you guys have a great memorial day weekend! This is how I'm kicking mine off.
The best series on RUclips, I’ll reiterate my previous comment about it being my mid 30’s “Saturday CAR-toons”. Would love to see more long form like last week, I know it’s a big lift, but man was having 40 min to watch and enjoy coffee a dream!!!
I have a handful of "Saturday Morning CARtoons" that I watch. Others are @SarahnTuned, @HomeBuiltByJeff, @SuperfastMatt, and @TofuAutoWorks. Not all of them release on Saturday but that's when I watch them.
as other have said, hit up another channel or two. iron trap garage, stay tuned are also local to crucible. i also like legit street cars and watchjrgo
Its insane to me that the proper fix for metal work, a lot of the time, is smacking things with a BFH, lol. It's crazy how much of a positive difference it made, even on camera. Awesome work, guys!
Fellas, this looks so much better! I'm glad you thought the same as me, that the nose was too tall. Happy it was just because it wasn't tuned in yet. I was also dubious about the grill opening. I thought the driving light buckets made it look cartoonish. However, with the lights mocked up, it looks much much better! Just an optical illusion, looking like the holes were part of the grill.
your comments on the grill/light placement is my thinking too. Once Tony held the fixture in the opening, I became sold. The placement is giving me Lancia Stratos rally light placement or almost AM Victor/Valour. I think I wish the placement was slightly wider, but maybe would intrude on the wheel well.
Finally I can say it's Saturday 😅 when the vid drops. It's almost a must for a sat morning. Love how it's coming along. Can't wait to see the side profile
The recent editing and camera work changes have taken this channel to another level and have made it much more enjoyable to watch. Offloading the video production allows Tony and Ryan to keep focus on what they're obviously passionate about here, the building and creative process. Keep it up, guys!
I love your guys channel and following this build! You guys have shown me a bunch of cool tips and tricks that I'm going to implement on my own projects. I really like that you incorporate modern consumer tech (3d scanning and printing) and showcasing how it can be used. I think your channel is going to grow quickly and you guys earned it!
i often watch videos and i'm like "Mmm I think I could do that" ...however, what you guys are doing is simply incredible! So much talent, I couldn't do that!
Love the persistent progress! And the nice 928 in the background 😜 On your question, glad you see the world as a big place. I’d buy a tee and a hoodie if you can send across the pond to Australia. Getting sizes right is usually a bit of a gamble though.
I really like the 'shop shirt' from your merch store, but I would prefer it in black. I think simple caps with the logo on them would be nice too. Love your channel, greetings from Poland!
Just joined the series, a great watch, Had a 2000 Ocean Blue Boxster. Excellent getting to replace the middle with something other than that M96(the biggest turd motor Porsche ever laid). Looking forward to this!
you guys should make a fiberglass mold of the front end when its finished....i keep thinking about the damage in a collision/maybe people can make their own jigsaws with a body kit. loving how its all coming out 🍻🍻
I definitely would not attempt the aesthetic challenge of doing smooth metal forming like you have over an iconic shape like a Porsche, however it is awesome to see how you are approaching the work.
I think it would look really cool if you put the hella fog lights in just how you have them but also surround them with a halo led which you could run separately just for a slightly more modern aesthetic that is hidden from the eye. I love the project and the entire idea of it but I do think just completely avoiding modern tech is a mistake as we have come so far and obviously the suspension and other drivetrain/chassis components are already modern. Would be a really cool way to tie it all together to have some "modern" features hidden in plain sight! Always look forward to your videos regardless of what direction you go!
Thinking you might be able to build the buckets for both the headlights and driving lights that support each other. You could go as far as making them in one piece, but separate buckets make better sense for maintenance.
Looking good 👍 I noticed there seems to be a “square” angled corner, where the front panel meets the quarter panel just below the running lights. Wouldn’t it look better to round that part off a bit? I know it’s hard work but it’s now or never 😅
I'd like to build something similar to this with a Mazda Miata, extend the front end out about 8"- 10" at the wheelbase. And around another 4"- 6" on the nose . And about 5"-7" on the rear and widen it atleast 8"(4" per side with 2" fender flares.wide enough to fit 17-18" x 10" rims in the rear and 8" in the front . Use early 2000's Corvette front suspension with c4 Vette style rear diff and suspension . Using a modified 9" center section with custom housing to use the independent rear suspension. Possibly cast a center housing to fit a 9" center. Use a stubby axel with bearings and seals in a 15-20, and 25-30 mm housing thickness bolting to a tubular k member. Using Vette components with adjustable coil over shocks. Possibly air suspension. Air bag over shocks. Using a 6 speed manual, 3.55 gears, and a 6.0 LS block bored with 4.8L crank with long rods. And a couple twin scroll turbos with a 7200 red line(+/-) use diverter valves to spool the turbos. They should start making boost by 1000-1250 rpm or atleast zero vacuum by 1000 rpm and 5-7 psi by 1600-1800 Level out around 2400-3000 then peak around 20 psi 5550-7k+ with the diverter valve fully off around 2500 rpm . With the body being wider at the fenders and quarters quickly narrowing at the doors, and incorporating break cooling scoops in this area in the rear. Possibly a addition for the doors to ease the transition. A 6 point cage attaching to the tubular front frame approximately 2"x6" steel tubing as the frame rails with 1.625"- 1.750"tubing and 1.25"-1.50" with .500" SQ tubing to build the front body bracing. No popup headlights . Possibly shape the front facia to accept 20 Camaro headlights and taillights with a small air dam and splitter. Keeping the air from under the vehicle. The engine should produce atleast 900hp at the tires. The front body mods should allow the use of two radiators similar to the Porsche.to allow the aerodynamics to be improved the radiator tilted forward with a scoop under, with venting above. To allow the high speed air passing over the body to pull air through the radiator. Keeping around 70-80% of the air hitting the front if the vehicle. It either goes to the sides, over the body or through the cooling system. And hen over the body. Allowing about 12-16" wide center area about 6" tall to be a cool air intake in the center. Acting as a scoop with small ducts going to the brakes if needed and to the driver for fresh air. And the hood being a forward tilt much like the 80's vette taking the nose with and the fender tops. The fender flares providing a parting line. Making it all from carbon fiber would be awesome. I'd be tempted to make it light as possible then. Cutting up the body making carbon replacement panels. Door skins, the inner door dash , door panels, maybe most of the roof maybe panels in the floors. A cobra crossed with a gt body would be cool. The other idea I have had was a Miata with a bridge ported rotor engine and a 6speed. Turbo. It would be an awesome little car . Sorry to ramble! Have an awesome day!
Watching how you guys are working the panels is really cool. I wonder how long it took the guys in the panel beating shops of the U.K. and Italy to get their designs right.
Another great video, was about to go to sleep ( its midnight here in nz ) but I saw you guys posted so just had to watch it. I'd buy merch all the way down here in New Zealand. some lanyards would be cool, keychains, etc. I don't really buy clothing items because of the pricing usually haha. exchange rate hurts the bank.
Thank you so much for this content. It's simply the most interesting build I've seen. It's up there with Rob's 4-rotor, and Christopher Rünge's cars. Okay, I want to provide some constructive criticism, and I hope you'll simply try to apply my idea conceptually to a drawing or render so that you can make an informed decision. I'm going to say, as of now, I don't love the front end smile grill/lights, though I did love your creation process. I've watched every episode of this build series as they were released and I've waited to see if it would grow on me, but so far it hasn't. The round lower lights remove all perceived aggressiveness. I'm my opinion, I would humble like to suggest period-correct rectangular Hella diving lights. I think they would fit much better if they were incorporated into the existing lines. Thanks guys.
Thanks for sharing this process. I'm a retired designer in my mid-70s, so lived through the era you are using as inspiration. May I suggest using the driving lights as headlights and allowing the fender fronts to be w/o light buckets. I realize there are some headlight height issues, but you can overcome those assuming you can register the car with them low.
Located down in South Brasil but shipping is easier to send to Paraguay so if you can ship things to Paraguay, that would be super awesome we have DHL and other services love your work, much love from Brasil
That bottom valance needs separated light buckets and rad intake instead of the cheeky opening there is now. The air intake should be an extension of the fender/hood line and the height of the light buckets.
i love this build but i just wish the front end looked more like the rendering that was done, i feel the front air ducts are too small for it. amazing craftmanship though guys!
Ryan, I'm going to keep hounding you about this, but when are you coming to Australia to show Home Built By Jeff learn his new planishing hammer and English wheel?
I'm really curious how you guys are liking the Arc Captain Tig 200... I was considering an AHP or Primeweld, but the Arc Captain has captured my interest at less than half the price, I'm mostly looking at making a few pieces of charge piping and changing my radiator outlets.
I like it so far! The range of settings is very good. Build quality is definitely budget, I’m probably going to throw a CK torch on it that we have laying around.
MERCH T Shirts Garage Banner Art - some pics on your racy bits. No not those Ryan, things around the Shop! Parts, in situ cars in the garage......... Shipping to NEW ZEALAND (yeah sorry)

The boogie eye on the metal forming machine is also a good touch…
I don't even remember how I found this channel, but it's easily been one of the best discoveries. Hope you guys have a great memorial day weekend! This is how I'm kicking mine off.
Same, one day a jigsaw video just started playing. I think it might have been cause I watch grindhard plumbing Co sometimes 😂
Same. All hail the algorithm!

Im really starting to like the lines and where your vision with the body is going! Keep smashing it out, you know!
Really one of my favorite channel of the moment.
Really enjoying the process, keep it up !
Its insane to me that the proper fix for metal work, a lot of the time, is smacking things with a BFH, lol. It's crazy how much of a positive difference it made, even on camera. Awesome work, guys!
You know... that looks pretty cool. And good you guys worked on that adjusting of the flat parts, looks indeed FAR better

Great work on the panels, really taking shape now!

This randomly came into my feed, love the lines on the front end. The 60s had the best lines, Muira, 250 GTO, XJ's.... we need that back.
*Junkyard Supercar...that is what you are....coming from afar...reaching for the stars......*
I love your guys channel and following this build! You guys have shown me a bunch of cool tips and tricks that I'm going to implement on my own projects. Never cease to be amazed by Ryan’s Jedi like skill levels
They make it look so easy even I could do it. (Not even I believe that.)
❤ the content - super fun and interesting to watch the process!
Love the car and the boys but also love the editing and music, the little touches of local nature is cool too.
Thanks 👍
Love the build! Super excited to see y’all do the targa top!
Besides your awesome talent you guys are very entertaining. Keep up the excellent work.
@@az426hemi thank you!

😂 Imagining you being englishwheeled
i often watch videos and i'm like "Mmm I think I could do that" ...however, what you guys are doing is simply incredible! So much talent, I couldn't do that!
The googly eyes at 8:48 are awesome!
I enjoy that you guys are having fun with this.Don’t lose the “you know” Tony. If you start making things too perfect on this channel it will suck…
That really did make a big difference, nice job! Looking forward to seeing more :)
Looking forward to seeing the finished car 😀
Love the persistent progress!
And the nice 928 in the background 😜
On your question, glad you see the world as a big place. I’d buy a tee and a hoodie if you can send across the pond to Australia.

Boys! Massive improvement!!!
The reshaped corner panels did actually make a big difference and improvement in the appearance!
Looking nice, the extra curve on the front looks so much better. 2x👍
I really like the 'shop shirt' from your merch store, but I would prefer it in black. I think simple caps with the logo on them would be nice too. Love your channel, greetings from Poland!
The front looks fantastic!
The yellow car that is shown at the beginning of this episode is BEAUTIFUL.
Hints of 928 in those quarter panels. Incredible work.
Just joined the series, a great watch, Had a 2000 Ocean Blue Boxster. Excellent getting to replace the middle with something other than that M96(the biggest turd motor Porsche ever laid). Looking forward to this!
B-roll going hard AF this week!
Enjoying every part of this build. It's very 60-70 ish now as you build it it will only grow into what you want of new and old. mixed
You guys are doing a great job 👍
Saturday morning entertainment !!!!
Nice job on the intro! You guys are stepping it up.
Thanks so much!
Looks much better with the refined shape. Honestly didn't know we had foxes in the area, thought it was all mountain lions and fisher cats
You guys are doing great. Keep it up!
looks amazing after the massaging
you guys should make a fiberglass mold of the front end when its finished....i keep thinking about the damage in a collision/maybe people can make their own jigsaws with a body kit. loving how its all coming out 🍻🍻

You know it's serious when Roger shows up

I have to agree - it does look much better without the headlights! How wedded are you to your current headlight design? Considered Bora style pop-ups?
Watching how you guys are working the panels is really cool. I wonder how long it took the guys in the panel beating shops of the U.K. and Italy to get their designs right.

It has a beautifully aggressive stance now .
New Sub! Looks like a 64' Porsche 930, with a lil mid-50's 718..influence
This is by far one of the top builds going on. The front end is coming along nicely! And they rendering!! Get outta here.
I’m liking this you know
Well now YOU KNOW,
and knowing is half the battle.
Definitely think that grill opening should be more like the shape of the tubing behide it
Located down in South Brasil but shipping is easier to send to Paraguay so if you can ship things to Paraguay, that would be super awesome we have DHL and other services love your work, much love from Brasil
refining is where you find the gold... the trick is not to get too greedy
The concept rendering looks AWESOME!! Can't wait to see the finished product! Is there a reason you don't use a wood buck to form the panels?
That bottom valance needs separated light buckets and rad intake instead of the cheeky opening there is now.
The air intake should be an extension of the fender/hood line and the height of the light buckets.
I like the.

NOOOOOH the hammering machine lost a wiggly eye! 😥

Ryan, I'm going to keep hounding you about this, but when are you coming to Australia to show Home Built By Jeff learn his new planishing hammer and English wheel?
If Jeff wants to get us out there, we could probably make something work. 😇
Not gonna lie for me, the front look like a smiley face xD
Those looked like MTG push-ups.
Hello from south africa awesome videos guys just they abit to short
I’ve spent the last two hours watching other car shows waiting for 8:00.
You should have made both sides identical from the start!
I'm the number 1 complainer about fulfilment! Shipping to Australia is crazy! I sent shirts to the US for $26, but shipping back is over $40!
I'm really curious how you guys are liking the Arc Captain Tig 200... I was considering an AHP or Primeweld, but the Arc Captain has captured my interest at less than half the price, I'm mostly looking at making a few pieces of charge piping and changing my radiator outlets.

looking a lot better than the last video, what brand or model are those ligths????
Jigsawer E-type
Lamsawghini Migura
Ford JigTsawty
😉👍
Getting there. Looking really nice.
Definitely looks way better now kind of has a Ferrari mixed with some Porsche with a dash of alpha romeo on top 😂
I wouldn’t do some round headlights. A shape like the mc laren F1 would fit way better
🔥🔥🔥

I know he’s doin more pushups. 😤
Is the aluminum sheets tempered or annealed? I'm guessing annealed, the way it moves for y'all. Definitely not T-6...
Chiropractor video !
That proper aluminium pronunciation got me hard
what is the color code on that blue g body in the backround
That's a big FH 😂
Looks much "girthier" with the newly formed side panels...you know?

This. It was an Acid Jazz week. 😂
Вы можете не бриться и не стричь бороды пока не закончите этот проект. Как такой челлендж?
Plz change the headlight design PLEASE BCS IT WOULD LOOK BAD make it to a shape of McLean f1 headlight it will look sick and fire please
You know 👀
Merch-wise, more black shirt designs, and coffee mugs.
The nose is really coming together, well done!
