- The wait is over! Old Church Basement, a collaboration between Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music, is finally available and I can’t wait for you to hear it. I think every song is my favorite song.
I got to sit down and chat with some of the girl power behind this amazing project, Naomi Raine and Tiffany Hudson, and ask them about their favorite BTS moments from the writing and recording of the album.

Build Your Church - it truly feels like an anthem for the great commission ❤️
Exactly. N to think it’s at the end of the album. It’s almost as if God is saying “My children, this doesn’t end here. I’m doing all these in you so you can go out there and love, teach, preach”. This has been my exact words “The great commission”.
Jireh! is my favorite. This line in the song: "I will be content in every circumstance" is a full WORD

Jireh is my favorite. This group of young people are changing the face of Worshipping and bring the Holy Spirit to the World through our T.V. I feel so Blessed to be able to say I was here to see it happen. God Bless every one of you.
Talking to Jesus ...brought my 49 year old self back to moments with my Grandparents who would always say “ I was special and God loves me so much”. They’ve since passed but thank you Mav and EWorship for bringing these unbelievable memories back in a FLOOD to me.
I want to say they are all my favorites but what hits the hardest for me is Wait on You.
My husband and I went into the ministry 40 years ago and was in every ministry except music (I can’t carry a tune). God promised us we would pastor a church one day. We have been waiting on the Lord for almost 40 years. On July 12, 2021, God brought to all to fruition. We were appointed Pastors. There were so many Miracles that brought it all about!!

Jireh is my favorite. All of those voices singing "You are enough" is so inspiring to me. It truly is uplifting and comforting. I listen to it on my walks, and it always invokes such a great feeling of a universal love. It's so special. 🛐

My favorite song is Wait on You! I find myself when I am still that I need to wait on the Lord, don't stop what I'm doing, but continue worshipping and praising Him, I strengthened in my season of waiting and not questioning God. My confidence and strength is being renewed.

Mercy. I fell in love with the song when Chris sang it at Easter service. I literally dropped everything I was doing and stood still in front of the TV and just stared at the screen and sing along. It was such a beautiful song!!!
I still can’t hold back tears during Jireh...when it says... wasn’t holding you up, so there’s nothing I can do to let you down... it just reminds me of His unconditional love. Also.... Miracles... agree... every time I hear it I think of all the miracles in my life!

I am saving this video in my library. I felt not just the joy in your chat...but the lord was looking down at his daughters with pride. Yes his words are so soothing. Each of the songs take me to a place where I have walked with Jesus. Talking to Jesus really touches on when I realized Jesus does have a relationship with me.

Shall Not Want, I’ve been in a valley (mentally) for majority of my life. I thought I needed so much in my life (sometimes still do) that would make me happy, but now know that my Shepherd is all that I need. Anything good that He gives me, is just my cup overflowing and a blessing.

True ‘Wait On You’ Song really encourage me to patiently wait on God and it made me realize that instead of trying to figuring out everything why don’t we start to trust God in the season of waiting! This Song really hit me and this song is also a confirmation of the LORD for me since I used to panic a lot of times specially when I’m on waiting season😂like I feel that everything is over but then it’s just the beginning and this song remind me the hope that I have in Jesus like your hope will never be wasted when you wait on God, and like what people said that it is worth to wait specially in God cause when He promised He will definitely fulfill it just trust His right time and just praise and worship Him even the things that He has for you aren’t there yet.💚🙌🏽

Wait on You! 🙌 I’ve been going through a really tough season in my life and when I first heard this song I immediately felt God’s presence around me. It was so comforting to know that even in the midst of chaos and the storm that God is in control. This song has brought strength and knowing that I need to wait for his timing because he knows what is best for my life.
I really can't pick a favorite but I can say that Mercy hits me the hardest. Every word is so perfectly fitting for what I could not express in my own words to others. I have been made new and God gets all the glory because I know none of it was me. When you know you don't deserve all that He has done for you, that is when you live your life for Him. Build Your Church is my favorite because of the line "when we bind and loose" , an important Godly principle which many Christians still don't actively participate in. Also the line, "Build Your Church from the ground up; We're your church!

We just lost my father-in-law unexpectedly and even as such a godly man, we’ve had so many questions, raw emotions of confusion as to why and what’s next...so this is such a healing song!

My favorite song would have to be shall not want, the lyrics literally speak to my heart and my soul. The lyrics represent the kind of conversations that I have with the lord.
Talking to Jesus is MY JAM! I can't get that song out of my head, and I have cried so many times doing dishes and listening to it, just thinking about how my life, my relationship with Jesus, my example and the Sunday morning struggle of getting our family to church when no one wants to wear the "fancy" shirts (aka little boys and shirts with a collar) could possibly help remind my kids to Jesus throughout their lives as parents one day. Jesus, help me be the example they need to see 😭
Thank you for this interview. This album was already so special but this interview opened it up to a whole other perspective that will make each song even more meaningful when I listen. I remember hearing Jireh for the first time at Reflect. I think I’ve watched it here on RUclips every day since then. I have the lyrics typed and taped all over my room. Jesus is healing me through this work. 🙏🏼

My cousin and i live far apart and recently worship music has brought us back together! We send each other songs that we love and encourage each other in the lord and I sent her Jireh and of course she loved it! Also after watching the album release I love love love build your church and of course I shared with my church and my social!!! Love this album! I agree with everything said!

I would say "Mercy" would be my favourite in the album because...it reminds how im here alive cause ive been through a lot in my life like failures, depression,anxiety, even succidal thoughts kept on haunting me but right now im alive and this song just reminds me a lot. And as Holly said i have to say the same thing..I love each and every songs in this album and this album is amazing and hopefully ppl get to hear this

My favorite song is Wait on you! Honestly the whole album but wait on you has been so uplifting. Especially right now struggling and finding the strength to finish this semester of college. But God keeps reminding me through this song to wait and rest, His strength is all I need to finish school 😭!

So hard to pick a favorite. I will have to go with Talking To Jesus because it brings my two kids and I in a place of worship. This album has gotten my kids humming and singing all day...in the shower, washing the dishes, and even playing board games. It's even got my "too cool" middle school son saying Talking to Jesus was his favorite and wanting to share this whole album to his bus driver! Wow! Thank you for using your gifts and making these incredible music for our God!

oh for goodness sake! My dad was also an evangelist, and we traveled all over Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. My mother taught my sisters, brother and I to sing. So we sang and traveled all over from the time I was about 6 until14, when my dad took a pastorate in Green Bay, WI. yes, that was like moving to a foreign land!! Anyway, I still sing and play the piano, and I write music. God is so good. Thank you all.

What come's to mind as you speak about that song writing experience Naomi , is that verse..."when 2 or 3 gather in my name I am there in the midst of them"... So I believe these songs are coming with ease and they end up being so impactful because you guys are so passionate about the King of this project (Jesus) and your lyric content is His word. 1) I imagine the video for Wait On You feeling like the day the Holy Spirit came in the upper room. You can feel the Spirit come in the room through the screen! 🤯🙌🏻
2) We took something away from our 9 year old the day before this video released and after “It’s what you do when you wait,” my 9 year old said “Mom, I’m gonna worship while I wait.” NOTHING BETTER! 🙌🏻
