Hollywood but Pierce is undoubtably one. At only 38 he was a widower, and then remarried and has stayed faithful to the mother of his children for over twenty years. Not only that but he also still speaks highly of her publicly. AND he's James Bond. Doesn't get any better than that

The man grew up fatherless (his dad only reached out to him once he became famous) his wife dies of cancer, his step-daughter dies of cancer, he’s seen the extreme peaks and troughs of the industry, he’s extremely active when it comes to environmental/animal issues, his deeply enamoured with his family - a huge achievement considering how many superstars fail at this - but you decide to reduce this man to Hollywood shallowness with no depth?

I still think he’s the best bond we ever had. He simply has that next level class and style. I just wish he had the scripts that Daniel Craig got. Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies were good but I’d have loved to see Pierce in Skyfall.

Even though he is far from the most critically acclaimed Bond, whenever I think of “James Bond”, or I read Ian Fleming’s novels, my mind always pictures Pierce Brosnan. Such a charismatic guy.

He played Bond perfectly, it was the unfinished scripts, rushed productions and increasingly goofy writing that resulted in the films being less well receaved. Nevertheless he was the last true Bond.
@hash king Maybe if you became a fan in the last 15 years. From Russia with Love, Goldfiner, Thunderball, The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only etc are all undisputedly top tier Bond films. Craig is lacking charisma and wit.
@hash king LOL Moore is literally a classically trained actor and has many acclaimed roles. His films (other than FYEO) are intentionally tongue in cheek, campy fun.
You're entirely wrong that they couldn't go back to lighthearted, witty, ridiculous Bond films. That's what the majority of fans want now, to switch it up. The Craig films got waaay too sappy, and serious, Bond way too moody and emotional.
Think about it, it's a spy fantasy series; The new films try very hard to be serious, but it makes no difference because they're still incredibly unrealistic. It's gotten stale at this point, there are a million Bourne rip offs, that film came out 20 years ago. They need to go back to the classic formula...what made Bond legendary in the first place.

One of the best-looking men on the planet. Seems like a very grounded and down-to-earth guy. So respectful of his wives. I love that he carries rosary beads with him when he flies. Being a “relaxed Catholic” myself, I can relate. Classy guy.

Coming from a watch enthusiast I immediately picked up on how he didn’t mention Rolex, AP, and only mentioned Patek when saying that Girard Perregaux made the watch he was wearing. A man that likes well made time pieces without the hype names behind them.
The fact my parents lived on this guy and I also had the previlige is truly incredible. I hope Pierce will do movies for many years. My dad hasn't seen Black Adam, but im sure he will be pleased seeing the one doing one of the main roles is James Bond himself (from his time era). The world is missing classy men like Pierce thats for sure. I love how he talks about every film he did with true passion, he doesn't see his roles as any small gigs and he gives them full respect. Truly one of a kind.
