I have had several kayaks for several years. Not one of them is this type of boat. I have never done anything remotely like this. Outside of one trying to sink on me the first time out and being launched out of another while trying to catch a third wave in a row before letting the water empty out the scupper holes, I have never had much trouble with stability. P.S. If the top of your SOT is filled with water, and you try to ride a wave, as the wave lifts the rear, the water may shift forward and bury the nose. If your nose is underwater, you might not be able to slide down the face of the wave.
