Nawaro-Chan nope even if he was a chicken eating that egg it wouldn't be cannibalism. Just so you know hens still lay eggs even if there is no male around. There are just no babies in the eggs. These are the eggs they sell to the consumers. They are just unfertilized eggs!
I know this is a joke but just to be clear When a chicken lays an egg it usually isnt an alive one. Its by accident. And there is no life in that egg. But when NATURE happens.. And you see a veiny pattern on the egg.. Thats alive. Otherwise, you would see a literal embryo in your breakfast.
Ęmilƴ oh I heard "ah silly bird" ...also heard "excuse me..., you a pretty bird" ".. you're a silly bird open the door" maybe I'm hearing things, it's late and I need some sleep 😂
P.S. I have been obsessed with your videos all week, Bowie and the rest of your birds are the most adorable creatures. What a fabulous job you have done in raising them, and I look forward to seeing many more of your videos in the future! :) x
You have the most adorable and obviously happy little birds. I would have one of these in a heart beat, although my lovebird's beak might get out of joint because of it. So full of personality!
He IS a silly bird!! He says that very plainly. It is so cute when he says, "scratchy scratchy" and raises his wings. I laughed every time he said "you silly bird." Thank you so much for sharing this one. Oh! I don't really think that was enough. I could have used much more. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to watch it a few more times! Hey, how is Beaker doing at your Mom's with Kiwi?
Not many people can make it out but i hear that little birdie saying things to no end! Something about a dirty bird, oh you silly bird, lovely birdy, or something. Birds are very smart and quick to mimic sounds, and use those sounds to base other sounds upon which they use as their audible language. Scientists discovered that in every generation those sounds are different, though the meanings may remain the same. I met a raven in central park N.Y., who'd come say hello, good morning, and good bye. WHAT A TRIP! Years later; i found out that they can talk like parrots, but their vocabulary is much more limited.
hi i have a pacific parrotlet too! I've had her for a while now and i love her soo much but she seems to be scared of everything... plates, chairs, computers, basically everything big in my house. how do i show her that theres nothing to be scared of?
I am brand new mommy to Higgins, my parrotlet who looks a lot like koolaid! I was wondering, what were some of the things you did to encourage mimicking? I've had higgins for 3 weeks now and he is 20 weeks old. Still getting used to us, but I want to build bond and work with talking :)
Hi Leslie, male parrotlets can be naturally vocal, but to encourage mimicking, try using short phrases that have certain inflections. Like kiss kiss, step up..but when u say it, use a higher pitched tone which u probably already do (like talking to a baby)...usually they pick up sounds that they hear as a 'tune'...keep in mind that's how birds learn their own bird chirps. For koolaid he is just naturally vocal & I didn't have to do much except talk to him & repeat phrases --in context & with varying tones. It can take a cpl weeks for them to learn a new word/phrase. It has to be repetitive--like a broken record ;) good luck! OR u can have him listen to koolaid--apparently a lot of parrotlets learned words from listeng to his videos.
From my experience with exotics, don't give up trying to get them to eat veggies. It takes some time! Just like humans, birds can be picky. Be persistent & make sure that the food doesn't stay in their cage all day. Make sure they get fresh veggies all the time; try eating a banana or orange in front of them, too. My Lovebird was always curious about what I was eating.
I have tried to get my bird to eat veggies and fruits but she just won't have it! Were your birds like this at one point? Do you have to adjust them or does mine simply not like them?
I wasn't aware that Koolaid was speaking - that's not too easy to understand, unlike some parrots. But as long as his mom understands him, that's what counts.
I heard him calling you a silly bird, then just before he took a bite of the egg he was asking if it would "hurtme" . He seems to have a simular volcabulary ability as my Bourkes do. So don't be shocked if he ask you whats that? or initiates a question. Or carrys on a conversation at the lvl of a 2-4yo.
T ha t is so adorable..I was almost going to buy one a few years ago..But I have 2 parakeets and one cockatiel. No room for one more cage..But he is so cute:) great video. How long did it take for him to say silly bird?
Do you have any experience with these little parrotlets living with lovebirds? I want to introduce another bird to live with my peached-face lovey....would the risks/problems/patience/time be about the same or is it a bad idea to try and mix them? Thanks. C
From my experience with Parrotlets, I would not put ANY species with them. Even another Parrotlet can create territorial problem. I have learned, that Parrotlets are quite aggressive even though they don't seem like it at times. Only if 2 birds of different species were raised together - from either birth or very young, it is that much harder to assimilate the two together. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it creates problems. Lovebirds are so much more docile than Parrotlets. Hope this helps.
Peekaboo Parrots I put my parrotlet with my cockatiel when he was very young and he's grown attached to her. He can be a bully at times, but if I separate the two he will cry and cry and cry (and sometimes she will too).
I know it's a different bird, but he reminds me of the Quaker my mom used to have. She loved my mom but hated everyone else, unless my mom went out of town, then she'd cling to me until mom got back... then resume jumping off her cage to run across the room to bite me lol. Never understood why, no one was mean to her or anything.
tartsonawire aww that's too cute :) I've never actually interacted with a Quaker before, but Koolaid is a Pacific parrotlet. I also have one and they are tons of fun, so much personality in such a small body
Hehe, Koolaid is so cute :) My old Cockatil ate eggs and it was actually kind of funny to see, but really he would eat anything he gave him so we named him 'Pig' because he ate so much. XD I miss that bird, we had to give him away, but y'know c:
I don't know much about birds but do they comprehend what they are saying or do they just mimic things they've heard before? It sure does seem like they know what they are saying. Do these birds actually ask for things? Like "I'm hungry" or "give me some seeds" or "let me have some".
my parakeet loved to say goodnight, we got him to say it before bed but I can't tell if its in context because he always said all the phrases he knew all day long
@Jxh I'm going to get a parrotlet can you give me a few tips please? Also, how big do they grow? This is just because I was planning on getting them young
I know they are talented mimics, but my cousin had a bird that would associate phrases or words to specific things. (e.g. he would be attracted to blondes only, and preen them saying pretty bird)
You will always be in our heart, koolaid.
What hapenned to koolaid :((
@@topamv9553 he died
@@topamv9553 died of old age i think
I miss him :c
Nooo awwww Koolaid ❤️
You have to pretend it's yours, you're eating it, and you don't want to share. Then he'll want it.

Cockatiel Lover omg I have a pet cockatiel! Such sweet animals♡ he calls me "Bird queen" haha ♡
Pay close attention. He's not a chicken.
Hello unfertilised egg which can never grow to chicks ;-;
I know this is a joke but just to be clear

Yes he IS saying silly bird , what are you on about , he DOES'NT have a LISP unlike people , I have yet to hear of a BIRD that does
he's telling you to open the door so he can sneak and eat some egg while you're gone...
Cry Baby yup! Either that or she asks him where is Smokey and he is thinking, he s not here cuz you don't open his door... open the door 😄😍

Seems ironic, feeding a bird an egg.
Moremi Aj My bird run to that fucking egg and would eat it like it's salad
Birds eat other birds
Like the parrot says... I know what's that, is the fetus of my fellow, and you're trying to feed me with that! Lol.
egg has tons of protein so birds love it! It's really good for them
protein actually :D
Can't get enough of these birds!!! Love them all ❤️❤️♥️
Hahaha why does he open his wings every time he talks? ADORABLE!
i love koolaids eyes!!!!! they are sooooo big!!!!!! love your birds
i love ur parrots, they r so funny and cute!
Omg I swear your birds are so cute I really want one!
Is it within the realm of possibility for Koolaid to be more adorable. I don't think so.
he's cute! sounds like "who's a silly bird", but it's probably something else. hahaha
What a good little talker!
Do all lovebirds lift their wings like that when they talk? So cute!!
Love his name!!!!! ❤️ And pretty much everything about him!
I love his little voice! So cute!
How cute!!! He/she is so articulate when it speaks :D
At first at the VID kool-aid said "Your Sweety Bird" Such a cutie pie :)
LOL - Koolaid seems to talk with its "arms" raised!
my dog just ran in the room, and out again, looking around for where the squeaking was coming from XD

Well I'm amazed at Bowie. He's a smart bird. I've seen some videos of the African Grey's and Bowie seems as intelligent as them.

thanks...for the info. But you have parrotlets? do you never have them out at the same time?
I am getting a Pacific Blue Parrotlet a boy I’m going to name him Han Solo
