In a way, the speedrunner had it easier. He didn’t have to constrict himself to a certain set of objectives, instead being able to go for whichever and still make progress
Eh unless they're playing on the "only one player can get each cell" rule which allows sabotage, which they weren't, then I don't think this is true at all.
@@jacobnorris8256 Start as Cleric for high starting FTH (deprived and cleric can reach 30 FTH by SL 21, but we won't) with Master Key -> don't pick any bonfires after FL Shrine and ignore any enemies but collect lootable souls -> Burg nets you the first Knight and first Lizard -> skip past Havel into Darkroot Basin, killing the 2nd Lizard near the golems -> pushing off a 2nd Knight and getting a soul of the proud knight on the way to Moonlight Butterfly [1] -> which you then kill [2] before darksigning or dying back to FL Shrine -> grab the Morning Star below Petrus and make your way towards the Catacombs grabbing the large soul of the lost undead along the way [3] -> only get to the bridges and there are 2 more lizards there so if you missed one of the previous ones there is no need to reboot [4] -> darksign again -> now take the master key shortcut to blighttown. there is another soul of the proud knight here if you missed the previous one near Moonlight -> kill Quelaag and ring the bell, then make your way to ash lake [5] -> at ash lake darksign one last time -> make your way to the Parish, chopping off Hellkites tail for the Drake Sword [6] -> looting a Soul of a nameless soldier on the same bridge [7] -> then killing your third knight right afterwards [8] -> kill Gargoyles, then take elevator down towards FL Shrine and go to Stray Demon -> before you fight it use all your consumable souls (including Quelaag) to get FTH 30 [9] and since that only cost you around 21k souls, use any remaining ones on str or vig -> stay at stray demons butt and regardless of your STR the bleed on the morning star will make it a pretty quick fight and net you a slab [10] -> before you leave don't forget the doll for the painted world if you want to go over the top but there is no need -> go to sens fortress and right at the start you will find a soul of the brave warrior [11] -> then kill Iron Golem [12] -> and collect the greatbow prior to O&S [13] -> technically you are already done but now you could go to the painted world for the dragon butt [14] and Priscilla [15]. Still bored? It's a pointless timesink but you can take the regular path towards Blighttown just to knock Gaping Dragon out as well [16] and if you're still bored you can also max out a weapon already [17]. All before you even need to fight O&S, let alone get into any of the lords areas. So in theory the 13 objectives were the far easier option since Jake would know where to find most of these things and it would likely just take a quick search to find out where exactly to find certain souls. Every single one of the bingo options requiring you to get at least past O&S and sometimes past a lord as well would make them harder to finish.
"Also Jake was sick during this recording so he might sound weird..." dude Jake looks fine, Trevor looks stoned out of his mind, mans walking on clouds

Small channel, the algo is unfavorable to low sub counts regardless of quality of content. You just have to slowly grow, it’s hard to go viral with 200 subs. Share his content on twitter and whatnot to help him grow
I think second column was likely the best route here. Play normally until you beat gargoyles, getting 3 black knights and a crystal lizard on the way -> Use master key to skip to blighttown -> ash lake + 4 crystal lizards -> play the game normally until O&S, max out unique weapon (say black knight, astora's, giant's halberd, greatbow) using twinkling titanite on the way -> rush to firesage. Would let you skip the entire depths + upper blighttown, do a much shorter run + an easy boss instead of the entire duke's archives, at the cost of having to kill 4 crystal lizards and get through the great hollow, and none of this is particularly harder than what he did. Pretty sure Trevor would have been able to do this within the time it took for Jake to do his first warp, and would probably be pretty neck in neck on Jake maxing out his weapon if he didn't forget the slab.
Nah, 3rd column was by far the easiest bingo on the board by miles, it's just getting and using a bunch of soul items that are easy to find along your route anyway, just one required boss to kill, gaping, and the drake sword, which is pretty easy to get as well, if you wanna be risky you can do longsword gold pine resin strats, otherwise buy short bow and about 130-150 standard arrows from the male undead merchant. Doesn't cost all that many souls. You'd only have to get to Sen's fortress. Here's the route in detail: Asylum -> Firelink -> Burg -> Male Undead Merchant for Short Bow and Standard Arrows, the souls from Asylum Demon and the enemies you'll fight on the way should be almost enough, maybe need to do a quick run or 2 of farming in the burg -> Taurus -> Hellkite Bridge -> Get Drake Sword using arrows -> Parish -> Basement Key -> Gargoyles -> Lower Burg -> Capra -> Depths -> Gaping -> might as well descend to the Blighttown swamp through the normal way since you're already here, not very hard or risky if you know to navigate the area -> reach swamp, get Soul of a Proud Knight here, sit at bonfire -> Quelaag -> Up to Firelink and then to Sen's -> Get Soul of a Brave Warrior in the beginning of Sen's -> if you have Master Key (which you could've also bought at the Depths for 5000 souls if you didn't pick it, but maybe it's against the rules or something idk) if you have it then just change the rolling boulder direction to break the wall where Logan is, there's a second cage with a Soul of a Hero and boom you're done, if you don't have the Master Key you'll just have to traverse to the top of Sen's and get the Cage Key from the bottom of where the Crestfallen Merchant is, then return to change the boulder direction and break the wall. Edit: oh and get weapon upgrade materials and upgrade and ascend your weapon of choice along the way of course, wanna make the bosses as easy as possible
@@VaasMontenegro12 That's Soul of a *Great* Hero, my man. There are only two of those in the game, one in Seath's tower after you kill him, and one in the Izalith lava pit with all the dragon butts.
Ok, just found this channel and watched a couple videos. I have no idea how you don't have a massive following yet. But keep putting out content this good and it's gotta be around the corner.
This video popped into my recommendation today. I am currently hooked on this channel and am going through the catalog of your videos. Would love to see more Bullet Party videos in my future!
This was fun, really enjoyed how chill the vibe was, no toxic overcompetitive bs, just 2 dudes playing dark souls. Interesting idea, time for a rematch at ds2 ;)
I really wish more Fromsoft youtubers/streamers would do bingo races whether you choose lockout, non-lockout, any 13 to win, or multiple rows and columns to win. It is so much fun to watch these and even challenge your friends from time to time. I am currently 0-3 me to my friend for DS1 basic non-lockout template.
should have just used a bow on the red Drake for the sword. I would have gone for the slab in the chest in Anor Londo, upstairs from where we meet Solaire by the bonfire right after 'Archers'
Honestly right column is probably the easiest BINGO. Titanite Slab from Stray Demon, then a small detour for Moonlight Butterfly before Sens, and otherwise just gun it for the Crystal Armor. Just start with the master key and skip the sewers altogether.
Honestly I think this and the bingo I chose are very close and I could see the argument for either! I just felt more comfortable doing the depths over stray and moonlight because I've had some issues with stray in the past. - Trevor
Is it Not easier to do 13 tasks than do a bingo? For the next Time Maybe get a Bingo + xy amount of extra challenges, because this way you can avoid all the difficult challenges and still finish
pretty sure titanite slab is a guaranteed drop from the lizards in the hollow, but you have to kill all of them and it drops from the final one you get i could be wrong. or you could mention this because im the type of idiot who comments halfway thru a video lol
The easiest one is going diagonal from bottom left. The hardest thing there is warp, which is actually very easy because all you have to do is kill O&S. Easily done with a faith/health build.
