Just rediscovered Marc Spitz back when I read Spin and cared about music. Shame he left us sooner than anyone expected. As one of his former colleagues said, “He died a Rock-N-Roll death” so I imagine he went out as he lived the highway of multiple addictions he talks about in this interview. My hope is he didn’t blow his brains out or “snuff himself” as he also mentions in this interview. Doesn’t really matter how he went out and that shouldn’t be his memory. He left a brilliant literary legacy behind. He’s very vulnerable in this interview which those who knew him said he was.
