Installing kali large works. But the applications are not running graphical but on command prompt only the wireshark sometimes starts with sudo. You tried it .? You have an idea or hint ?
I constantly get the 'power manager plugin unexpectedly left the panel' after the GUI starts. This happened to me on installs on other computers last year. I always select execute, and it pops right back up. On a diff computer i had to do systemctl xrdp start and the use rdp to access the kali GUI. Any advice on this? Also, very good tutorial. I couldnt remember how to do this.

ive tried the apt install kali linux large command and it starts running untill it gets stuck on 34% when installing python. and then fails to procceed and finish the installation. working/waiting for headers. i have enough disk sapce tho. like 600+GB. installing the kex is the same as the kali linux large command?
Tools like arp-scan dont wont correctly in Kali on WSL. Does anyone know how to fix this? It apparently has to do with the type of network from WSL (which is some sort of Hyper-V software layer).
There is no switching involvement. Kali Linux is running on top of windows as a part of an application. You can simply close the VNC server and get back to windows..

there is no sound with kex --win -s...I think this needs a small update, a bashrc edit or something

WSLG can run GUI apps launching from the windows start menu. I mean only few apps are working at present.

When I enter win kex , Kali Linux opening very slow . It takes around 6min to open Kali Linux . What to do , I'm in windows 11

Cancel the process by pressing CTRL + C and rerun the same command.

*sudo apt update && sudo apt install kali-win-kex -y*
or
*sudo apt update*
*sudo apt upgrade*
*sudo apt install kali-win-kex -y*

With Ubuntu you can only run Linux GUI apps, but cannot access the Desktop.
