    The video is very useful, although I suspect a few steps weren't completed. I just installed an SC10UA in my C3 Pro - some points to highlight: I put the the flat straps underneath the battery unit and this seems to be correct (IMO). The holes on the battery unit "wings" and the antenna (RHS) need to be concentric with the stud hole to ease replacing the stud. This can be tricky with only two hands! When replacing the neck roll, the battery needs to be pulled forward and kept central - also quite tricky. This is to leave space for the neck roll to fit the recess. I inserted the forward neck roll prongs (careful with these) and then pressed the rear of the neck roll into the recess. When fitted, the battery is forward of the shell and the vents are not blocked. Overall, a good installation but quite fiddly trying to keep everything in place.

    I absolutely love it! Took me about 45 minutes to install in my new c3 pro only because I wanted to familiarize myself with taking it apart and putting it back together. Not as difficult as I thought it would be. Took awhile to charge fully but sounds great and it's not cumbersome at all. Can't wait to try it out on the road.

    JUST FITTED ONE ON A SCHUBRTH C3 PRO
    1) does the battery pack fit under or over the strap ?. Other vids put it over the top. I think it does go underneath and it helps to keep it in position.
    2) he has missed the two sliders on the ends of the battery pack marked L and R. These should be fitted and the holes go over where the red press studs of the lining are.
    3) there was no way I could fit the antenna in the position he stated (over the red press stud lug). It would not fit / slide behind in that position of the red press stud. I moved it back slightly towards the rear of the helmet and it went nicely on the polystyrene part of the helmet. No way it can come out because it is underneath the battery pack.
    Yes it it a bit more difficult to press the red press studs in whr the L and R plastic sliders are ......but they will go.
    Did not notice any difference to the helmet and could not feel it in the back of my neck.
    Hopes this helps future owners as it took me a long while to fit.

    I've watched this video many times but I cannot see what to do with the other bits of hook and loop pads plus foam pads that came in the box. In the video he's attached the sticky tear drop pad into each ear area and then attached the headphone to that. What about all the rest as above? Are they supplied to add as an extra layer between polystyrene shell and the back of the speakers to get them nearer to your ears? Can anyone help me with this?

      @@thomasvandervlis352 these are two different thickness velcro packers to move the speakers closer to your ears (if needed). The speaker foam should just contact your ears for best audio.

  • @DavidLoone
    @DavidLoone 6 лет назад +4

    There's a mistake here, either in the paper instructions or in the video. The included instructions clearly show the core unit being installed "outside" the straps, but the video shows the straps going "over" the unit. That's a fundamental to helmet fit, since the method used in the video would result in the chin strap being pulled backward more with the unit installed.

  • @pinkiewerewolf
    @pinkiewerewolf 5 лет назад

    I take it this is pretty much the same installation for the E1?
    I put a wired system in a HJC RPHA 70 ST and the speakers rub my ears raw after a few hundred miles. Are the cutouts deep enough or the speakers thin enough to escape this problem with the 10UA system/E1 combo?

    • @senatechnologies
      @senatechnologies  5 лет назад +1

      Yes. The Schuberth SC10U is installed in the Schuberth E1 in the same way as the Sena 10U for the C3 & C3 Pro. The speakers can be attached on to the EPS behind the fabric where your ears would be so that they would not be rubbing your ears.

    Hello!
    I recently buy an sc10u intercom to my 2 years old C3pro (fluo) helmet. All the instruction/manual says that this should fit into ANY c3, c3pro, etc. helmet with ease however it`s not.
    There is simply not any space for the battery below the neck/wind ring as its on the manual or as it is on the youtube chanel.
    Isn`t there any solution instead of cutting some 5-7 millimeters of the back of the PU inner of the helmet??
    I hardly see any other option however this s a very cheap way to solve this problem.
    Another problem is that the earphone is very thick therefore very close to the ears ...and this is not replaceble for a smaller, thinner one...so i will send it back...
    i use to had a a sena 10r so i will use that again...
    don`t buy i you have a bit bigger head :-)

      so what is the point making antenna which need be hidden under the shell make piece of cable to connect it when schubert has already antenna build in with connector. not much easy for customers will be just put connector so we can use build in antenna? i presume it will be too cheap to do it so the price of your product could loose another dollar?

      I thought the same thing and purchased the 10U and C3. The reasoning would be, from a manufacturing standpoint, that it would cost prohibitive to conduct the R&D on the 10U (a universal unit made for various helmets) and test the interoperability b/w the 10U and the C3's antenna.

    At 1:44 they say "next, attach the velcro pad for the speakers...and then show that they are already installed. Very bad. There is no explanation as to why thy installed the pointed end of the pad in the orientation of the oval as they did. If you going to make an explanation "How to video" you have to do EVERYTHING exactly as a beginner has to.
    I stopped watching here and went looking for another video.

      @flechette3782 4 года назад

      @@chaseharrison5469 I watched this one. I was able to do each item as they described and the 10U went in perfectly (some jiggling required). The toughest parts were getting the cheek pads snapped back in as the speaker wire put a tiny bit of pressure on them so I had to push harder than normal to snap the cheek pads in. Once in they worked fine.
      Another tip: I thought that my right speaker was not working or was very quiet until I realized that it was not very close to my ear! You may have to move them around a bit to line up each right on both ears.

    so, it blocks the air vent or not? looks like a great option for schuberth helmets. I'm fan of sena products.

  • @tacjam1
    @tacjam1 9 лет назад +1

    Did you not just completely block the rear vent? With the rear vent blocked, you'd have to get either an air pocket making the helmet louder or, you'd have to close the vent. Looks nice though.

    • @tacjam1
      @tacjam1 9 лет назад

      A better design would've been a two pieces with a gap for the vent. Just my $.02

    • @MRUMedic
      @MRUMedic 9 лет назад

      +tacjam1 Looks like the comm is straight along the back so still leaves the vent active and not blocked. If you look at video at 2.46 then you can see vent clear

    • @tacjam1
      @tacjam1 9 лет назад

      +Michael Denning the C3P exit vents are right between the neck straps, the hot air in the helmet escapes through the middle of the neck strap for through the mesh on the neck roll, exactly where the 10U battery sits. If you have any doubts, download the C3P manual and look up venting.

    • @tacjam1
      @tacjam1 9 лет назад

      +Michael Denning as a matter of fact, look at video, when he removes the neck roll, you can see the vent holes in the foam, look for the two holes between the neck strap, you can see them, then when he installs the battery, it completely blocks the exit vents.

    At 7:25 in the video, despite his obvious struggles, he FAILS to reinstall the neck roll (what Schuberth in fact call the "neck collar") at the back of the helmet! He then holds the uninstalled neck roll onto the base of the helmet with his hands as he turns over the helmet to show he has finished. If he lifted the helmet at that point, the neck roll would simply fall off. (I have tried this install. The neck roll / collar doesn't fit back onto the helmet on a small helmet.)

    This 10U and any other Sena product is so difficult to install that Sena should have an option to send in my helmet for them to install. Three times and I am out. Just a pisser when you tear apart your $800.00 helmet and it won't go back together correctly.
    Sena, the helmets you desiged these for a too complicated to add an intrusive element.
