With some modifications, those vehicles could probably be useful for lunar and planetary exploration. (Lighter chassis, solar power, possibly some autonomy features, but the same basic pattern.)
lel - nowdays we have rockets that can put into orbit tens and hundreds of tons - it's very possible to launch a mission-specific equipment pack up to space, dock it at the ISS, then launch the mission craft (most likely a larger, modified version of the current space shuttle with more living space, storage and work spaces). Weight is not the problem as much as the need for a stasis-esque system to preserve the astronauts (giving that the closest exploration candidate mars is 6 months away) and/or packing anough food and water to fulfill the mission. The small robots could be of use in order to take scans and survey the planet. and lets finish by saying that if any mission were to be launched towards mars or some other planet, it'd most likely include setting up a temporary base of operations at one point or another - manned or otherwise - and would probably include some sort of geological and agricultural experimentation to explore the possibility of farming with martian soil. weight is not the problem as it can be solved.
Indeed, weight is not the problem. For one thing, any version sent to Mars could use much lighter materials and structure, thanks to lower gravity and a lack of hostile natives there. It's more the configuration and control systems that would be preserved.
avro549B as well as the guiding principles of survivability and durability, and design elements that make the vehicles capable at their jobs. you need to remember the martian sandstorms and the fact that the terrain includes at times some sheer drops or difficult-to-traverse areas. in addition, It'd be a good idea to place an autonomous refueling platform in orbit around mars. could be useful for launching future missions, redundancy, and assisting in future mining expeditions to the asteroid belt, which are planned by some companies nowadays.
proud of you ISRAEL......I Love Israel so much.....Israeli people are very nice they are so kind and respectful... and my best and strongest army is the IDF....caused they are smart and skillful interms of combat.....small country but they are terrible......I LOVE YOU ISRAEL>>>>keep it up.....you're the best
Krzysztof Zukowski how j the heck are they stealing money we give to them to spend here? They also are very innovative in tech we don't invest in, like the upgrades to the F15/16s we then incorporate into our own, or the active protection systems we will likely be slightly modifying and then installing on our tanks. If it's just plain old knee-jerk Israel hate take it somewhere else.
Mac McGruff stealing because we americans don't approve any of it. they don't need our money to survive, and we don't need Israel to give us anymore problems.
Krzysztof Zukowski you voted for your congressional representatives didn't you?? you also vote for president right? If you did vote and didn't agree with their stance towards Israeli military aid, or our continued backing of our democratic ally. Why did you vote for them? Unless love you voted purely along party lines, hoped they would change their mind after being elected ,or didn't care what their individual platform was about. When you vote for a candidate your voting for their ENTIRE platform, not just what you agree with. If you didn't vote; then you have no right to complain. Israel might not need our money to just survive, but our money and guarantee of a qualitative military edge has brought a quiet to the major wars they have fought. Even before the civil wars and revolutions the threats from neighbouring Arab and N.African nations was almost non-existent. There was threats from non-state actors and terror groups, but Israel's technological edge and knowledge of our backing kept the quiet. Nations like Egypt. Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Lebanon (who we also equip militarily) still made provocative statements, but they didn't make any moves that could be construed as a military threat.
lol every politician is on the "blow Israel" bandwagon. I actually did go out and vote, for Bill Cosby and OJ Simpson cause they'd make better choices than the clowns we have in office. Party lines? I wanted Ron Paul president cause he actually was the only politician to make sense; Instead of a fair election, he got cheated out! (votes still matter huh???). I don't give a flying fuck about what happens to Israel, it shouldn't be my problem! Last time I checked, Israel is not the Mother Teresa of the middle East either. Shit....most of our problems are cause we dipped our feet into the middle east in the first place! Leave the fuckers alone and let them destroy themselves.....
r!I guess in Syria you just play nice!! no babies being killed in war. No one is a bigger baby killer then Palestinians in particular and Arabs in general.!!!

it is amazing how the jews have made weapons based on their own experiences in war which are so unique to them. nice

The large ones are far too heavy and the small ones would be of little utility.

They seemed to have taken the American route of heavy investment in R&D and really made some potentially huge leaps in technology.
Stealing American money so might as well follow in the tech footsteps too.
