Modern organizational theory is changing, and the things that we would’ve considered impossible 10 years ago are now possible. In my view, much of how we think about organizations is a function of the times and the technology.
The context and the available technology plays an important role in how we think about organizations, and who we actually accept as organizational theorists.
What does this mean? We’re going to have to start being more open to all forms and thoughts of organizational theory.
We may also have to create improved institutions to deal with this rapid change of organizational theory.
