I'll always remember blasting ghouls with my explosive double barrel through a a glowing fog that was lit up orange by the sunrise while listening to the classical radio. Beautiful. The fixed perspective and high angle certainly makes Fallout 4 look more like the original isometric Fallout games (1 & 2). It's also interesting to see the shadows shift in steps, as through the sun was mounted on the hand of a clock (most noticeable at 0:48-0:52).

This makes me emotional in such a weird way. I discovered Fo4 in my thirties but it became so dear to me I feel something like childhood nostalgia about it. This video makes it feel like a childhood memory, like the Fo4 world was an actual toy that I played with as a kid. With this beautiful music on top, it really hits me deep.

Someone on the nexus made a main menu replacer mod using this and now I can't find it anywhere. I really liked launching my Fallout 4 and seeing this video come up.
I see something that I love in a form that I hate. As in I love Fallout 4 but hate how toy-ish/childish-looking this is. You actually love that and hate Fallout 4 or what? :O
@@YTfirstnamelastname I don't like F4 because I'm a fan of the old ones, but I like miniatures. I don't like that F4 is a less grim looking game, but if I forget that this is a Fallout game, it looks cool as a miniature.

These videos are beautiful. I'm wondering if there's an easy way to make character animations play at a lower frame rate. It might make them look even more like stop motion.
There are console commands that would help a lot to get the effect I want (without having to edit it after filming) but it also kind of breaks the physics of objects so I didn't touch it

Depth of field plays a big part, yes and the compositioning of the screen. No idea about the mod but I didn't use it
