You really improved from camp. Honestly you shouldn't feel bad about 4 out of the 5 goals. The 5th goal is just funny. Perfect song selection. Miss the voice but love the video! Looking forward to your next game.
I will probably do post game voice over like what you do in the future. Just wasn’t feeling it tonight haha and I wanted the last goal to speak for itself. 😂
3:28 I got a new chest protector and when I look down my mask hit the protector pushing it up. Can't see anything so I feel ya. From what I am seeing you are moving very well, camp must have been awesome! My suggestion is use it, I see you coming out and squaring up but once you are set you get less mobile which is surprising because you do move well. I can almost feel the panic. Relax, it is just a game. Don't worry about venturing outside the crease, believe me I tell myself this all the time never do it, but before you develop the goal line bad habit or setting camp in the paint like us old fat guys. Once again you have great mobility, use it. It is OK to get a little lost when you are learning. 2:18 is an example of you forgetting how well you move and 2:31 is a good example of you reacting and covering the entire net like it was nothing, hell you hit the post on the other side and rotated with 1 push. 2:54 use the double C-Cut to slide out and challenge vs shuffling out. Even the goal at 3:28 you moved laterally incredibly quick. JackMuren youtube channel is another small youtuber who has an awesome double c-cut to come out and challenge. I think you played very well in this game, and the missing the puck while coming out to play it happens to all of us, at least you didn't knock it in your own net, not that I would ever do that /wink /wink.
Reading the description (which I rarely do): As to removing the dangler I have had one shattered. I am 90% certain I had my chin down when it happened. It spiderwebbed the plastic and broke the plastic nipple where the shoelace goes through. I worry to think what would have happened had it been a one timer that I wasn't expecting. The sound of the thing annoys me, it does get in the way, I will never not have it on my mask. I would rather give up an occasional goal than to catch one in the neck. At least make sure you are using some sort of neck protector.
@@NerdrageHockey Wow. This is so incredibly helpful and thank you so very much for taking the time to help me this much!! I don’t trust myself a whole lot yet because I just started playing again this year. I suffered a grade 2 groin tear in March and I’m still dealing with some groin and sciatic pain and a mental hitch that’s causing me to hesitate :/ I’m slowly getting past it! I will try to play more out. I’m not 100% trusting that I’m hitting the right angles yet when I come out so I’m still a little gunshy to venture too far out of the crease. But I need to practice and get more familiar with positioning. Definitely never using the dangler again! Really hated it. I already wear a pretty beefy neck guard and I think I’m just gonna go with that.
You are doing good. Wait till you get in a league where you see a Bonafede slap shot. Might rethink that dangler thing. You'll be there soon the way you are improving.

@@NerdrageHockey JackMurren commented on the short I posted today and I subscribed! Always happy to watch more goalie content I can learn from.
