This is an awesome series so excited to see a really high level player make it, there is definitely a lack of this content for pubg and a small but enthusiastic community waiting for just this kind of thing.
Thank you! Glad you liked it :)) I noticed there was not alot of good content when it comes to actually understanding pubg so thought i'd give my expertise to help the community.
Ok so I've been playing competitive (in my mind) for many years but as I age I'm just gaming with some IRL friends. These videos are certainly getting more wins for us. Thanks Fludd!
I think you are covering a big gap in the PUBG youtube here, great job! The only thing I'd like to change in the format is that you add a full description of what the acronyms mentioned actually means, I could guess that IGL means "In game leader" but as a beginner, I'm not a 100% certain
I agree lots of people do think like this, it's important to note that any and every player can frag - but sometimes other players are in better spots by design.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, tips, and experience within' the E-Sports scene. I'm currently taking on the challenge to build a team within' the community I'm apart of. Good work!
As much much as I love to play with people that communicate, it's a double-edged sword. Last night I had to listen to a guy whine and cry about his entire life story and he wouldn't even stop when we got in firefights. Telling him to "SHUT THE F^*K UP!" would probably negatively affect positivity tho so...
played a long time and watched lots of pro matches but this is the most helpfull thing i've seen so far! great stuff! would be fun if you hade "guests" or some feedback from other pros. and clips would be helpfull to help us plebs understand. I'll go look at the other videos after typing this so maybe all of this is done :D
Great video just made a computer in December new to pub g. Getting recked every day. Won a couple of casual games so probably not the worst but trying to get good
Thumbs up for playing pretty damn well in PNC! Wish to see team AUS take top 5 in the next year! Is it okay to translate your content to guide new players ? I'm hoping that this would help people understand how the game work and how to play the game properly.
I recently was in my first Tournament; I wish I started watching these videos before that Tournament to gain more knowledge of how the game plays; out of the people I played with, I am much more suited for Scout/ Support roles.
awesome video! i like the power point, content structure and the length of the video. maybe for the future videos you can keep the roles in mind and mention their responsibilties in certain situations or have a video specific for each role. :)
That was exactly the plan! Each video will act as a layer to work on. So I can refer to certain things and *hopefully* people will remember information from previous lectures! I was planning on having a video-specific role for only IGL as it is the most complex
This is good. Good amount of time too. Not too long and not too short. Even learned some shit I didn't know before. Thanks for this, looking forward to the rest.
You in fact don’t glaze Shrimzy enough lol. The guy’s insane, especially with his utilities usage, and such a chill person as well. “How does he hit so many shots?” are also my thoughts when watching Snakerrs too lmao
I'd say I'm more supportive but a flex player (need to work on aggro plays). I've played with Tig I think he's a very very well-rounded player (more so than people probably think). I'd probs categorise him as a fragger/flex player :)
Great Vid Fludd! This is definitely needed in the community. I agree with adding examples and clips and giving high level analysis. Also it may be cool to also have the game running to give further analysis of the terrain and site lines. I think you could get really creative with how you present these. Again, great work! looking forward to them!
@fludd great content first of all, do you think, supposing one learns and masters well roles, rotations, communications, calls, team play, awareness, basic mechaninc skills, one could aim to becoming pro or sort of pro, when the starting shooting skills are average? Thank you so much.
Yeah you definitely can, you will struggle in ALOT of situations if your aim isn’t up to standard. But you can absolutely aim to be a pro, the more you play the better you will get mechanically. Just keep in mind that no matter how “smart” you get someone who just hits their bullets will outperform you on average
thank you fludd, very good content! For future content i would love if you could adress more players outside NA for examples, like the PGC Players that me (and maybe some others outside NA) are more familiar. but great vid nonetheless!
Of course! For this lecture I wanted to make sure the examples I used where players who I was very familiar with. I will try to reference a wider range of players, but the chance i am wrong will be much higher if I am not personally familiar. Still a great suggestion!
@@FluddPUBG I think you won't be too wrong as all roles are as you said fluid and i'm sure you could adress them pretty good - your analytic skill does seem very good to me! and even if, it could start a discussion about different roles within the community which i would love to hear and add to. :) and thanks for your work and insights, i apprechiate a pro sharing his view and tipps!
Nice video; great contribution to the community. Thanks Fludd! (Note: qcq = cqc? [close-quarters combat?] ;-) I like the format. For future videos, incorporating some clips from gameplay to illustrate certain concepts would also be nice.
Great Initiative Fludd! I really enjoy this format, it was truly needed by the community, specially with an experienced Pro player as it's author. Awesome information. Great work. A short clip to help define a piece of information might help drive points home. However, this would extend a lectures length. Yeah I plan on making short form content (to recap the lectures) A glossary is a good idea, The next lecture is all about info, types of rotations, and basic competitive terms - so some things you've mentioned will be covered. Lots and lots of content to cover, but there will be full 15-20 min lectures discussing mental, team fights, rotations (might be multiple multiple lectures on that topic) and of course training and warm up. I think training / warmup would be good for episode 3 - get all the terms and understanding what comp is then discuss how we learn / get better
I think the biggest hurdle is being able to do the polar opposite. Frontmen are typically more aggressive while supports are more passive. Supports need to be more comfortable up front and front men need to be able to relax and make sure they don't die ;p. Mastering gun mechanics is crucial for all roles!
You did not say it out loud but the starting point is that you can't play many roles at once because some of them are exclusive on a psychological level, right? You can't be an IGL but also the fragger because those require different mindsets.
You CAN play multiple roles at once, imo the only role that stays consistent is the macro calling structure of the team. IGLs / callers usually stick to their role. You can absolutely play multiple roles as it’s situational. I do think you’re right however, if you’re an IGL you kinda can’t be a fragger. You can be an igl who frags, but you have to lead and take charge of the game - not just shoot and listen.
@@jamescordennnnn but they are now igl, you cannot be a fragger while being an igl - it is counter intuitive. You can be an igl who gets kills and frags out - but your main role on the team is to call rotations. You can go from a fragger to an IGL that is of course fine!
I’m a good team player. I feel like I always try to lead the team. But you always got that one or 2 people who fly off or don’t have mics. I wanna play competitive so bad. I wanna have a good team to actually play with. Hard to find people to play with because they already have a team or is in a discord chat.. 😞
