i have been painting for 23 years full time on nails for over 10 hours a day and up to 16 hours a day for over 1/2 of my whole life. it is the only reason. i just keep practicing. :) i still learn new things.
This tutorial is awesome, Robin! When you started to paint the flowers, they just looked like little flower-shaped blobs with no detail, and then you did the outline, and I was like "Oh, my gawd! Flowers!" Lol
yummy, from my heart ....thank you. i have loved painting flowers for so many years. i think we should just do flower collaborations all the time. i just love them. thank you very much for the compliment. in mid 90's i used this technique for almost 2 years for flowers. i stopped the outline in about 97.....when i painted this, it made me remember so many good memories of nail salons. i am so happy you liked it, i missed you! *huge hug*

I really admire your work.. I am a cosmetologist and in school I had the hardest time with the designs.. I can do the hell out of some hair but the nails is a completely different type of skill.. great work!

i first use nail varnish to coat the nail, then i use acrylic paint to do the art and then i topcoat it with a shiney clear varnish top layer. i use dazzledry topcoat and you can find it at dazzledry com. :D

mistress, ive learned in some cultures it is VERY confusing because nail polish is called nail paint. then paint is called craft paint and acrylic is paint but it is also what we use for fake nails....so, its very difficult sometimes to cross the barriers of what we call paint and acrylic. i use acrylic paint, but what i usually try and say..(or im getting in the habit) is to say i use nail varnish, acrylic craft paint and seal it with a clear laquer. that way it crosses barriers of languages
