    Well Kirk you won't believe this story: A month ago, a home owner contacted me and asked for some things and tile adhesive plaster. (The lighting was sufficient) I plastered it in two layers with a sponge texture and smoothed it with diagonal wavy lines so that the wall is smooth to the touch but full of life. Two weeks ago at a completely different job site, a friend was laying flooring and complimented me very much on this plaster. So thank you again for all the techniques you teach here, it's definitely worth watching.❤

    Great detail and explanation, Never heard of this product.
    I do acrylic stucco on tired old driveway walls, ( concrete) it sure spruces them up real nice !
    Learned it from the professor ,,,,

      @@als1023 Good morning, there are some acrylics that are great and on the flip side some not worth applying if they were given to us for free. We usually get what we pay for with acrylic stucco’s.

    Want toThank you and your family Kirk, Just finished the brown coat my 8' x 8' area left from my chimney removal . Time will tell how well i did. But i im sure that if i had not have had your videos i would have never got anything on the wall. Would send picture but i am not that proud of it .. Ill see what it looks like after the finish coat. Im out here in east Co C0 county, Oakley , trying to keep this old 75 year old house from falling down around me. Really enjoy your videos, great to see spme that enjoys what they are doing.

No doubt you slept well to unless you focused on it not being as good as a master craftsman. Here’s a tip think of all the positive benefits you received by doing it yourself, then tell me what you did so I can use your method to feel good about myself too . 😉

    been thinking of you and your crew on this last job--got the pirate look down as working attire--this job is redoing rebuilding chimeney hit by lightnight--on rich folks house=roof access is 20 ft high and gotta move the stucco mix and mix on top near rebuild--so out here in 100 degree heat and uv above 12 and heavy hard work thought about you folks over there...in san fran cisco---only things i added to outfit besides over large shirt and waist belt are 2 bandanas--one for head under wide brim hat and the other behind to protect the neck and upper back....lots more to share but hopefully tomorrow my boss hits the outside over porch set up and we finish way too complicated and tough job--say hi to family and crew and stay safe...ps i like the sun also -myself---but this morning took up thermal camera and took some pics of roof and surroundings..the heat off the roof at 8.30am waS 158 DEGREES F...NEEDLESS TO SAY WORK FAST AND GET AS MUCH DONE AS POSSIBLE UNTIL 11 AM OR AROUND...UV WAS 12.7 AND THEY RECENTLY RAISED THE SCALES TO 20- oh my :) gotta admit it a tough laborous but extremely fulfilling and intricate profession--this known as stucco...

      @@StuccoPlastering howdy bro..copy and paste into wordpad and then it will be readable...out here still very hot days and high uv..kinda fries the mind.but above is about chimeney fix and stucco on roof 20 ft high--gotta take materials up and mix by hand and its a hard and heavy but now done job...was thinking about you and your crew and how you folks would have done it...

I ordered the stucco from Dan Johnson, whome I’ve had known for over 10 years, I asked if I could buy one of the basket balls they use in their videos? It came with the products. Ask and ye shall receive. It’s yours but you’d have to come pick it up. 😉

      Most folks go from the right to the left as most are right handed, However, we can start from any direction.It simply takes practice.

      @@GamingJinxed Jay has all Milwaukee battery operated tools, including the mixer. It’s been tried and tested by up many times, we both give it the big thumbs up. Cheers 😉

    Kirk, I don’t understand why stucco will last for years outside, yet can’t be used on shower walls. I asked this once prior but the answer wasn’t clear. What type of stucco is the most waterproof and could be used on shower walls.

      @@noname-p2f2q I don’t recommend stucco even acrylic stucco in showers. It can’t be cleaned, tile instead or plastic sheathing.

      @@StuccoPlastering I want a semi smooth finish stucco with slight trowel marks. Painted with a matt exterior rated paint for ease of cleaning and sealing.

    Great video kirk. you said stuc-o-flex is the best acryilc but I'm thinking of using LaHabra's Perma-Flex, which is their acrylic stucco product. What are your thoughts on it?

      @@glenwarren4351 I’d go with first Stuccoflex, Dry-Vit, Carson’s, BMI , Sto is also good. The shit acrylics living off old reputations or famous names, many have been bought out, and the formulas changed for the companies save money. How many fellow stucco contractors wish to express the shit acrylic companies? I wish to stay positive and mention quality ones. But opinions from others are welcome. 😉

    Will the primer stop it from bubbling off from the ground water or dampness? My guy did dryvit on a wall similar 10 years ago right on parging.... bubbles and peeled like crazy

      @@gibsonbuilds4841 Parging usually means painting a cementitious or lime plaster over a surface. Parging was used for thousands of years to cover branches and such for reasons other than to provide a surface to be stuccoed over. No doubt that parging separated thus the acrylic did too, as Dry-Vit is an excellent acrylic stucco.

      @@bigb8828 Hmmm, better choice of food and or drink? Like say raw foods that are not processed? Shoes that are more comfortable? It’s difficult to be comfortable if food or drinks can be assimilated properly. Best wishes my brother.

      @@glenwarren4351 This is an acrylic not a cementitious material. Only sponge floats will work for radiuses.
