Till 1:46, are you trying to mention about Hot Site which is a full replica of the site?

DR infra is configured in two ways mostly, either full capacity as of DC or half of DC. Utilization of DR also depends on company strategies. For example, some of the orgs don't want DR to sit idle and utilize both DC and DR as active active

Great video, however Case 2 wont work if testing device is a mobile phone, as editing hosts file in mobile device is not possible. Any suggestions?

I never tested it on a mobile friend. There must be some way based on o.s but I am not sure.

@@digitak.middleware the etc/hosts file in android is readonly, hence cannot be edited. Rooting device can be an approach but thats not ideal in production scenarios.

Normally in Production environments changing of hosts file is not done and it's impossible.Normally in F5 load balancer we create/map VIPs by adding application pools for both Prod and DR IP's and during DR we disable prod IP'S and enable DR IP's and vice versa.

It needs to change in DR hosts not Production where DR hostname points to Production I.P. rest there are multiple topologies to carry out the DR testings

Everything is explained step by step with the action plan friend. Execution depends on the architecture and stack in use and vary for client or client.
