A huge difference between realtors, and buyers, in the UK versus the US is where u enter the house. Here in the US, we would * never * enter through the kitchen unless we were forced to in some way. The kitchen is where meals are cooked and may he considered, by those with Italian heritage, to he the heart of the home, but it is the living area we want to see first. The living room or the family room, whichever is prettier and- or reflects the feeling of the home best.
We live in those rooms, the living room or family room. Not the kitchen. Very, very different sensibilities reflected in this difference between the two countries. If a realtors introduced a house to me by entering through the kitchen I would immediately wonder, "What is wrong with this house?! What is s/he (the realqtor) hiding?"

Carry on watching is what I would say. Having said this, I have the same reaction if I am shown the back of the house as the lead shot. ‘ must be ugly’ is my reaction. Strange how we are conditioned and frightening how little time is often given to the biggest purchase that most people will ever do.

I am a American also and I am getting use to the ideal of entering the kitchen. The ,it hen is usually a meeting place for family and friends.
