In still love the way you and Farmer on the Prairie say minir. You are really skilled with the machinery. Fun to see some friendly competition on the milking. Thanks for another great video.
After watching several of your video presentations, two thumbs up for featuring some of the best dairy videos on RUclips. Your style, communication skills and enthusiasm for the love of cattle and farming including knowledge of equipment is excellent. If more young Canadians had your desire and outlook on life, image where we’d be in the world of high production. Congrats young man. Regards,
hi, as a city dweller i feel great full to you and yours, the farmers, the backbone of America. thank you for making these videos, i am learning so much about the hard work behind my milk. thank you.
Love your videos!!! My grandparents were dairy farmers from 1940s to 1980s--not as big an operation as yours by far with only 250 acres and 40 cows. Originally my mom, aunt, uncle and grandfather hand milked before they went "automated"..They used a combination of tractor and horses to work the fields. When I came along only my uncle and grandfather worked the farm..no more horses but we still threw bales of hay up on the wagon. I just marvel at all the machinery! Now my cousins lease the property out. No more cows.
I think another contest could be who stresses the cows out less or who is the better cow whisperer. Like maybe count how many cows will walk towards you or how many will let you pet them/brush them. Or which one of you can get one particularly friendly cow to come to you if they have a choice between you two. Or how many cows come over to hear you play some music on an instrument. I know this would not be part of your normal chores, but you can think of it as cow enrichment. Could be a fun video.
You should bring your sisters more often in the videos. It adds more happy fun in the content. Hope you all are safe and sound. Greetings from north pole.
Sean want you really to be really really bad bad but really right now right I just really really bad right right not really bad bad but really really not good enough for you right now right right but I really want you really want me right to you to right now right but I really really cannot really really 🇨🇦
Freeselanders!! I love great Dutch kids being raised right. Awesome work ethic growing up on a dairy. Sure was good for me. Lot different today though. When I was a kid the milkers were all Dutch, spoke Dutch. Today in the US all Mexican. Good job!!!
Man idk how you find the time to do this plus all the work on a farm. Never worked on one myself but a few of my friends let me know how demanding that life is and to do this plus video editing? bananas. A+ content.
so im a medstudent and i only watch your videos to take a break from studies. dude you literally got every skill i can imagine, nd your cows r kept so nicely and taken care of. appreciate the bond you have with your family. :)
Jan, you are probably the fastest milker in the family, but you need to let your sisters win every once and a while - its good for their morale, and they may do the milking when you don't want to......
Another great vid, Jan. As some others have remarked, you need to get your sis on more often, she has a good presence and she adds to your vids. Stay safe out there.
What do you use to prevent derm? I love seeing the clean floors. Thanks for including that. They are so funny, leaping about with fresh bedding. Thanks.
I think I agree, with a technical glitch a rematch is definitely needed. Question - I have noticed that many of the cows pick up their back feet as the milker is attached. Is that a reflex action on the part of the cow, or is there something else going on? Will check back for a response. And thanks for the great videos you put together.
Love watching your videos... you explain everything so well and have such a great personality. Loved the challenge with your sister... but be careful... she probably knows where you sleep. Be afraid. lol

Hey Jan, greetings. Nice work!👌One request- Can you make a vlog for a beginner, who wants to be in the dairy business like what is needed to start from scratch? And a detailed financial turnout scenerio like your expenses/earnings/risk-rewards if possible? Thanks man!
Your parents have raised wonderful children.

Nice job kids. How often do you clean out the stalls, also don't you disinfect it prior to new straw down??? Just wondering. 👍👍👍👍👍😉🇺🇸
Thank you very much for all your hard work, farmer.
Sure do enjoy watching you guys and having fun with your sister was bonus!!! :))
Man idk how you find the time to do this plus all the work on a farm. Never worked on one myself but a few of my friends let me know how demanding that life is and to do this plus video editing? bananas. A+ content.
Ahhh, gotta love that sibling rivalry! Have you considered wrapping your bales in the plastic wrap since you keep them outside? Another great video!
This channel is growing... great work!
Jan, I love your family. You’re all great.

Hi Jan, your work is very nice 👌 you have many talents
Hello from Vermont, USA
Glad I'm not alone
Your sister is a welcome addition to the channel. You should include both of them more often......If of course they would want to appear.
Your sis did a great job haha.. I also hate stuff in my boots, I feel ya xD
Another great vid, Jan. As some others have remarked, you need to get your sis on more often, she has a good presence and she adds to your vids. Stay safe out there.

Who's older you or her?
The barn looks much better Dutch kid . Enjoy watching your vidieos keep them coming. Now to see who milking I'm sure u r both skilled milkers.
I think I agree, with a technical glitch a rematch is definitely needed. Question - I have noticed that many of the cows pick up their back feet as the milker is attached. Is that a reflex action on the part of the cow, or is there something else going on? Will check back for a response. And thanks for the great videos you put together.
Good video 👍 your dairy looks so clean and organized.
Love how your sister pleads her case,
Love watching your videos... you explain everything so well and have such a great personality. Loved the challenge with your sister... but be careful... she probably knows where you sleep. Be afraid. lol
Hahahahahaha good point! 😂😂
Great Video Jan !! 👍👍. Did you get the cow brush sorted out? Was it bad motor or what?? Thanks,
Do you hose out and disinfect the free still barn before you put new straw pack and your next batch of calves in?
They do. It shows his sister foam disinfecting the pens in his calf videos.
Sister ya got FLUSTERED !!
You might be a faster milker, but she is a lot cuter...LOL
Oh oh, looks like stainless steel control panels need shinning, maybe the winner should do that. Thanks for sharing.
im surprised you have a farm and the bobcat still has the backup noise that's usually our first mod
Wow that’s satisfying watching you spread the straw out 😱 keep up the good work 🤠
She lost by one cow. She caught up fast. I think she'd have you beat....take your victory and run.
sister is funny, u need to bring her more often in the frame talking and acting)
Grt video... Was waiting for the your videos... Nice music too
Jan, can we please have some videos of the cows using the brush? It’s so cute😍

I do not know much about milking, but how long does it take to milk one cow ,and how empty do their utters get? I am new to your channel. So if you have all ready answered this could you restate this information for us newBee’s?
Nice video, in Canada do you have regulation on when you can spread manure or why do you make piles of manure?
Quick on the teats, a great life skill! Blessings.
God bless the farmers their the hardest working people around
I think it's time for a rematch to see who is the quicker milker
I am very old school. I just saw something I have never seen on any videos I have seen. This young man said thank you to an employee. Damn maybe there is hope for this generation note it would make sense that it would be a tough lookin farm kid. Luca
Good morning from beautiful Ohio. Thank you for the fun watch. Thanks for the sibling rivalry. 🤣
Wow all the way from chicago love all ur videos
You guys were fun to watch in the contest!👍🏻
I would recommend getting a spike for the bobcat to carry the bales
Don’t need a spike for round bales for big square bales I can understand I have always used pallet forks for round bales they work good
Hi my name is matthew i love yalls vidoes and i think yall should make a vidoe of who could finish all of there chores the fastest.Keep up the good work
Great stuff!
I have seen many equipment operators in all my years of farming. Jan you are one of the best! 👍🏻😊

I think it's a tie lol! great to see the family on !!
Ah, the odour of freshly scraped manure in the morning!!
Wayne Daniels yeah the smell you never forget
@@cowboyupnow63 well, it *does* clear the sinus' right out!😣😣👏👏
Smells like money.
You work with so much efficiency
A little tip. If you lift the palletforks up an flip it a little bip over you can push the forks very easy by your hands. And keep up the good work.
And also slap some grease on that bar as well.
Your vids bring back memories. Haha! Born in nl on dairy farm, milked cows for 35 years in England .now rowcropping in Tennessee. Mooi!
You have introduced us to Noleen (hope I've spelt that right) and your sister Miriam looks like a great family, are there any more of you?
He pulled his dad outta the mud. 😂😂😂
Gosh, if I had all these tractors, loaders, milk machines, ECT I might of stayed dairy goats! Lol
