£3500 for the frameset or £4400 completely built GRX, I find manufactures marking up selling frames by themselves annoying. It's not just FiftyOne that does this, most brands dramatically inflate the cost of their frames if bought without components.
David I was reading a review of the Roval C38 wheel set on line when I saw that you wrote it. All of a sudden the article had a English accent. LOL . I ordered them ystrdy. ($825) I'll let you know how it goes .
Sounds like my kind of combo. However, the typical gravel bike tyre clearance limits the advantage of that geo. That’s why I built a Focus Raven with rigid fork and drop bars. Hardtail fames can make a great basis for a knarly gravel bike IMO.
If only lauf made their suspension forks with flip chips to buy as aftermarket for this bike or others. And i wish they made their frames with flips chips too. But i never used or had a bike with chips, so not sure if its mostly hype or only realt for people with sensitive feel noticing skills or people who wana develop those skills
@@MegaPapagajim geting that bike as soon as it ships. Bought it 1 week ago. Weekend warrior wireless with blue paint and the ethirteen cassette with 9-45. Stock is 10-44. Im curious how the 9 and 45 gear feels adding uphill torque and top speed rpm. And if i need to ill do a wireless mullet setup later with probably the cheapest mtb cassette and derailleur sram wireless. Cuz thats like $600 more 😅😭. I opted out for carbon wheel model cuz carbon only matter a small bit on acceleration and slows u down on top speed if its lighter due to gyroscopic forces i saw on a video. And i wanted to save money and rather bend alloy on a skiny hravel than crack carbon. I come from a mtb mostly background. And carbon is stronger and stays more true but not good for near crash/crash impacts. And id rather buy carbon wheel with lifetime replacement that can be race wheels maybe...well see
😀I Love my Cannondale Topstone Lefty, it takes 45 mm tyres, which is not bad because it has suspension. I guess that what makes the 52 Assasin shine is the geometry that looks very nice for steep slopes.
It looks like a carbonda 696 to me. Come on, don't give these bikes a stupid price tag and then sell it at a discount price. Just make cycling look stupid...
Yeah, I just stopped the video when he mentioned the frameset price! I'm always interested in learning about new bikes, but all these 'Marquee Priced' bits of kit are just annoying to watch after a while 😥
Thank you for a comprehensive guide to this bike .

Spezialized is bad for this, complete bike prices have dropped considerably by them.🤔
@@reinholdachleitner2069 Used to be the other way around with Spesh. Complete bike price used to be > sum of all the parts

Absolutely beautiful great video David.

David seems to have forgotten about the YT Zsepter he reviewed a few months ago.
The actual cost to produce that bike probably isn't even 1k
try to do it with 1k :)
@@Enejac I'm talking about raw materials and manufacturing costs not buying parts and "building a bike"
They’re apparently made in Dublin…have you seen how expensive *everything* is in Dublin?
Wow another “only bike you’ll ever need” video
Lol😆
Unsuscribing now…
That looks awesome
Remind us again , why we should pay premium prices for bikes made in the RoC? When you can buy bikes directly from there at decent prices?
The ride quality and handling sounds very much like the Trek Checkpoint.
00:22 was this a Carwow shoutout? :D
How do you like it compared to your Secan?
Class bike. Not cheap. Have you tried any of the road bikes?
Nope this is the first one I’ve tried
@@davidarthur they look quality also :)
My wallet assassin…I’ll stick with something old school, when time comes^^

Game changer…. Not at that price!
That’s the part of the game that’s changed 💰💰💰
Nice bike but expensive about 75% of the population can't afford a bike that expensive sadly :-(
Not really familiar with this boutique brand, probably more popular in Europe. Do they make some frames in Ireland?
I doubt it
They make custom hand made road frames in Dublin yes.
gravel bike that destroys everything is winspace G2 for 1300 eur ... angles, fittings, fat tyres....
...or Lauf Seigla😉

Has David been watching Carwow?
4000 euros is a reasonable price. For a Time frameset.
3k frameset? I'd just save an extra 1k amd go full custom.
Wow its another game changer.. gonna run out of game changers at this rate
😂
If there's a more exagerated term on RUclips it's "Game Changer"!
That thigh gap though, lol.
Plus Canyon
Won’t be Long before the gravel bikes has wider wheels, and suspensions in the front, and later on they Will go full sus. Oh wait a sec!?

@erlendsteren9466 how many times do u service ur fork? Or should service?
All you need is lots of money
More vapourware...

Just looked up that 696 and it’s clearly not the same at all 🤷
$400 frameset. I know the manufacturer. Lol.
Wow £3k+ for a Taiwanese made frame! I can see how they can sell the complete bike for £3800 and still make a profit
Too expensive for a frameset. You can buy quality gravel carbon framesets for half the price.
