I would say though, that sending military equipment to Ukraine is also a good thing to do, and has nothing to do with certain politicians unwillingness to handle homelessness here. We can afford both easily, but certain people do not want to help our homeless people, and they're not the same ones who want to help Ukraine.

A group of young adults came here to totally clean up my Apt. I did not think anyone noticed. I feel like the lady in this video when she cried

I need to watch fewer political videos and more videos like this. Helps restore a little of my faith in humanity. First time viewer, but you're a real man, and a prime example of humanity. It's really heartbreaking how many people there are struggling/on the streets. There really should be no excuse for anybody to go hungry, to not have anywhere to live etc. in a nation as prosperous as ours.

We really need to destigmatize mental health in this country. Addicts (of anything) aren't so much addicted to their vice of choice, they're using it to dull some pain, to escape something (sometimes though it is literally dulling physical pain when people get hooked on painkillers after an injury, but usually addictions are rooted in some trauma/depression etc.) - if they don't address the underlying issue they'll just transfer addictions to something else. Though I'm pretty sure detox programs usually mental health counseling/group therapy as part of the program.
Thank you Michael for the compassion you feel for Jessica and all the other homeless. You made her feel special and it looks like it lifted her spirits. I sincerely hope she follows your advice and go to detox. You are a kind and generous soul, God bless 🙌

I thank you for what you did for her. I know how it is to be homeless I was back in 2017 I had lost my wife of 17.5 years she is in heaven now. I lost my wife on 1/19/2014. After I found a homeless shelter I met a wonderful woman we lived together for 7 years until she took went to heaven. It still hurts to this day.

My very best friend lost her son a couple of years ago, maybe 3...I've lost track. Anyway I used to talk to her daily. She doesn't want to talk anymore. I don't know the price of cigarettes in America, but a packet cost over $20 to $30 in Australia. When I was a smoker 25 years ago I paid less than five dollars for a packet and ten dollars for a pouch of tobacco. I am glad that I gave up in 1998. You are a very generous and compassionate man Michael. There are homeless people in my area in the Gold Coast area in Queensland, Australia. This area tends to attract a lot of homeless, and less fortunate because of the subtropic area. I hope Jessica has more birthdays to come.

I wish I could do something for her but if I call she cries and wants to hang up. Drugs ruin so many people and relationships. I haven't given up on her. I pray all the time. I can't even imagine her great loss😢❤

I don't know the price of cigarettes in America, but a packet cost over $20 to $30 in Australia. When I was a smoker 25 years ago I paid less than five dollars for a packet and ten dollars for a pouch of tobacco. I am glad that I gave up in 1998.
You are a very generous and compassionate man Michael. There are homeless people in my area in the Gold Coast area in Queensland, Australia. This area tends to attract a lot of homeless, and less fortunate because of the subtropic area.
I hope Jessica has more birthdays to come.
I guess if you can't make them quit for their health, make them quit for their wallet, still good you quit regardless.
