Those tomatoes look so good. I have some planted, but I live in Florida and it’s so so hot but I keep them in the shade as best I can. I hope you continue to have a good harvest. I love the way your tomatoes look,I follow the way you plant and feed your vegetables. You are my favorite gardener Thanks for sharing.
Aww! Thank you so much! I love sharing my experiences with you all! I sure hope you have been keeping a record of when you’re fertilizing so you don’t forget. Those babies need feeding in all this heat! Morning or evening when it’s cooler is the best time! I am going to fertilize again this week. And use plenty of compost in your soil! I’m sure you’ve heard me say all this many times before!! Thank you so much for watching! Happy Gardening to ya, and stay BLESSED!! 😊😊💕💕🌻🌺🌸🫶🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Wow, those tomatoes look yummy. I have followed your videos since the time you planted those seeds. I have seen you care for your garden as one takes care of a child. I look forward to more taste test from your garden. ❤❤
Thank you so much for always visiting!! I love gardening! My sister and I get tired, but we love to garden! I will be doing more taste testes so stay tuned! 😉😉
Hi Lisa! All 3 tomatoes look yummy. I'm like your sister. 😂 I don't really care for tomatoes that much to grow so many different varieties. However, I have enjoyed a couple of Paul Roberson tomatoes. Due to this excessive heat, Paul is taking a break from producing. Anywho😂 As always, thanks for sharing my friend 😊
Hey Friend!! I understand! All tomato plants will usually try to save themselves by dropping all its flowers. Then, if it survives it will flower again when it cools down and produce again. That's its way of surviving hot weather. I think our PR are not even trying to live. They're just giving up and dying! They actually did this last year. All the PR were all gone and Early Girl was still producing very well! I got a lot of tomatoes from them this year, so I can't complain!! Thanks for watching!! Stay safe and well and hydrated!! 😊😊😊😊
Thank you, what you share is something very interesting. For me this is so special, that I have to watch it until the end. Best wishes to you. 💟💟💟💟💟💟May you always have health and beautiful days
Thank you so much!! I love sharing my experiences with you all! And I really appreciate you all tips and suggestions! You stay safe and stay well!! 😊😊😊
I grew Kellogg’s Breakfast about 6 years ago and didn’t really care for it, I thought the skin was a bit tough. The color and size of the tomato was fun though. I like the look of that Boxcar Willie.
Yeah, I will grow Boxcar Willie again, but I'm not sure about Kelloggs. No that you mention it, it was kind of tough. I only tried it just to see how it tastes. Thank you for watching!!!
Hey Lisa, im growing the black brandy wine and the Kellogg breakfast yellow. I ordered the box car Willy yesterday from MIGardener during their 40% off sale. Thanks for sharing. Have an awesome blessed day ❤😊
Yes it was! I guess it wanted to be in the video too! 😂😂 I was really sleepy and tired in this video! That's why I kept staring sometimes. I had worked in the garden that morning, and I wanted to get that video done before those tomatoes start to get over ripe. Thank you for watching!!
I like watching your taste tests. It seems like you like the dark/purple tomatoes the most. I remember watching another RUclipsr and she was stating how the different colors of tomatoes have different taste profiles. The purple ones tend to have a more smoky and intense flavor. Your videos give me an idea of what I should try in each color category.
Well thank you!! I try to keep it real! The other RUclipsr is totally correct in their description how the purple tomatoes taste, Smokey and intense! I love them too because they are so meaty and juice not running all over the place! 😂. I still have some varieties I grew this year that I want to test. I have Black Beauty, carbon, and Pineapple tomatoes. They went in later so they are a little behind the ones over by the shed. Stay tuned and I’ll get that dont in the days ahead! 😊😊
I've never tried either of those Kellogg's Breakfast or Boxcar Willie, so good to know! Thank you. Been hearing good things about two different bicolor tomato varieties (yellow with pink/red stripes or blush): Big Rainbow and Virginia Sweets. Have you ever grown those? Have a good one!
Thankyou so much for doing the taste test on the Tomatoes it really dose help me choose what to grow next year...Brandy Wine is a good one but l won't be growing the Kelloggs.Till next time dear friend ❤
Lisa, what do you do with all your big slicer tomatoes? Do you eat them all fresh? I’m so accustomed to mostly growing paste and cherry type tomatoes. Edit to add that I went on MIgardener website and ordered two of those tomatoes (Kellogg and Boxcar) plus 5 others…..they were only $1.20 each because of the sale!)
Hello! I don't normally grow so many tomatoes. I wanted to try different varieties to see which I like the best. What I don't give away or eat, I will make sauce with them along with the paste ones. I got my Boxcar Willie seeds from MIgardener too.
Thank you Lisa☺
Thank you for watching!! 😊😊
