- This video documents our drive from Hovenweep over to our next stop, Durango, Colorado! We stayed at the KOA campground and was lucky enough to book a river site. This was a really nice well kept campground, but my only complaint is that the river sites are too close together. But, we did enjoy the wonderful view and sounds each day from the Animas River. First night by the river I cooked us a whole Pit Barrel chicken and enjoyed a nice campfire.
Another amazing video. Thank you for tanking us with you!!
Wow that chicken looks amazing! 😋
That is a beautiful camp site. I am with Abby Chocolate Fudge ice cream. Thanks again for taking us along on your trip.
Looks like you two are having so much fun I'm glad for you.
Glad you got to enjoy the new and improved campground. It was completely wiped out a couple of years ago from flooding after the 416 fire. The river is beautiful but it is at its lowest flow in years because of the extreme drought. I live three miles south in Hermosa. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Lovely Campsite guys, those hotdogs looks good😋😋🍺🍺 thanks for the video .
Great campsite! Great chicken! Great video! Thanks guys
That is one honking scimitar for such a little bird.
It's great to see what great friends you two have become.
You have to try a "Strongback" chair. Very comfortable and easy to get back in the bag😁.
Really looks like fun
thanks Adam, i took a drink of beer just as you said it's like a cat going into water. just about lost it. ha ha
Awesome site ! Glad you were able to get a riverfront!
Not to mention the View !
Damn! that KOA sure has changed in the past 40 years, since I stayed there!
I loved the chair conversation, kind of like a chair-rant, great. Seeing you two relax there makes me feel good like I'm on the river myself.
I love to go to the river
This is the most gorgeous spot so far to camp and cook out. The most relaxing spot you could ask for. Grilling is half of the joy and eating is the other half in a place like that. Makes me wish I could do that someday.. maybe soon. I am working to make that day a reality.
First view, woop woop! I’ve been looking forward to seeing this new site.
Just good people right there. My husband and I always say your videos make you feel like your right there in your adventure! Always enjoy!
Thank you for sharing
🏆🏆🏆🤗🙏
Best video of the series. Catching Adam being slightly embarrassed is so cute and sharing those fun moments really added to my enjoyment. From God's own country down under.
The Narrow Gauge Railroad kinda follows the Animas River that you have a very nice view of from your campsite. My wife and I stayed at United RV and Camp ground where the train came through the campground and separated the RV camping from the Tent camping and the river ran behind the Tent camping. It was neat when the train came through the campground most of the tent and rv campers would come out and wave at the people riding the train. We loved it, train ride and Silverton included !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LMAO at the chair discussion! They never go back in like they came out. Get some sort of cinch strap with a fast clip on it. Cinch it up after you collapse it. Then it will either go back in the bag easier OR you can toss it in the compartment and not have to worry about it doing the umbrella as soon as your back is turned.
A little crowded but that was a primo site.
That's a beautiful spot you have by the river!! I remember my wife doing the laundry in the KOA campgrounds back in the day. She didn't like it either.
I've been keeping notes for our vacation next year, definitely jealous of the time you guys are able to spend on this one, but at the same time im happy for you.
You guys crack me up. I would say you should take the show on the road but I guess you have. Like George & Gracie.
You should have seen that campground after the Hermosa Creek flood. Looks pretty good now!
I friggin need a piece of that chicken, I was trying to reach through the screen n grab some
Great Video!!! Keep them coming.....
Hello Mr Booth I enjoy your videos. When do you think you will start more Machine Shop videos? I think the shaper videos are the most interesting. A shaper reminds me of a surface grinder in a way. Thank you sir
Soon, I'm back in the shop and starting on projects.
Love your videos. Is this the KOA in Ouray?
No it’s on the north side of Durango.
I have three of those chairs. The bag made it straight to the garbage the first day. I use two Velcro straps and problem solved
I hate folding chairs, I can't do it right, they never fit again
Literally , Living The American Dream❤.
my wife says its against the law to pass a ice cream shack
I am just south of you in Farmington. Steamworks for pub n grub if you can , or the Irish Embassy for fish &chips
Some of the best Thai food we’ve eaten was in Farmington. Forget the place but it’s on the main corridor through town.
@@AbomAdventures Boon's Thai BBQ. I agree that it's good stuff. Oddball stuff there too, green curry spaghetti.
Wow Adam, I have not been to Durango since 73, lived the area I am really glad you got there!! have a load a fun, want a picture of the train please. and the chicken sounds so great!
Oooooohhhhh....I could almost smell and taste the chicken! :-) Great video A&A! Keep them coming, I've seen them all so far :-)
I hope you made it to the Steamworks brewery.
Looks like Velcro straps for Abby's chair.
someone mention food? I'll take it 🤣 Hey Adam, wouldnt a set of velcro straps work to keep the chairs closed?
Regarding the chair, maybe find someone with a bunch of C-clamps you could borrow.....
Tie a thin rope to a leg at bottom.
Then spiral wrap the chair like a Log.
Then slip it into the Bag.
Love the videos Adam! I think you need a third channel for cooking! I'd subscribe!
My thoughts exactly!
I have two of those chairs and I never take them anywhere because of that.
Plesae leave some tips for foreigners to live in the USA!
Very relaxing spot . We are off to Blackrock Beach, northern NSW tomorrow.
Great chair story....
Perfect for an early morning coffee... :-) @3:13
Hey mate, I really hope it was my comment / my partners comment that triggered this video comment about Abbeys chair. It looks super comfy but I 💯 understand that it’s a pain in the A$$. Love your work! Keep up all the great videos. I totally understand your pain sorting all of the gear into the camper !!!!
Your chair looks awesome extremely comfortable just tell Adam to get a little piece of bungee strap strap it around before he tries to put it in the bag. It’ll work just fine
I wish you good health!
Safe journey!
