  • There are three types of gamers: the mid, the great and the gods. Today, we will talk about a god of one of the most storied Touhou games of all time -- Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom!
HS参謀 (HS Sanbou) was an extremely dedicated and legendary player that needed his story to be told. From a man who pushed barriers with his rivalry with ISO, to breaking an important score barrier to even sweeping the score leaderboard!! How does a man even do this? I am not sure, you gotta watch to figure it out... nerd.
P.S. I am not sure if ISO did a 2.72 billion run... I probably misremembered lmao sorry

I personally hope your future WR/scoreplayer history vids can give more context to why someone scores higher than the competition. You could ask other scoreplayers to get alot of that information and it doesn't need to be addressed that deeply - just some way to understand what's happening in runs (abuse of mechanics, shottype differences, strat/route developments, etc.). You do mention things like MarisaB's cherry farming being garbage but not why. Things like that would certainly make the history more informative beyond outlining the timeline. This was still a good video though.

Hey Suwawako, Just wanted to comment and say that I loved your new video shoutout to HS for being such a legend. I enjoy learning about the history of Touhou; Despite only beating Touhou 6 on normal and not really being invested in the games. Recently I have been binge-watching all of your videos; your videos are great and always keep me entertained. Keep up the great content, have a nice day.

I like hearing about these old record holders, even if the ending is they eventually moved on, so more videos of them would be welcomed (at least by me).

I like these score running videos, they are really cool and make me want to play touhou for score rather than just playing, and not for any score, for really high ones.(although I know I suck a lot in these games, but this keeps my precautions)
Can you do one with Evanescent existence score run,I want to see how Len'en fans gain score

It is highly disappointing to see a video like this after you had made another player video with proper advice and guidance from an actual player, and going back to... this. PCB may not have that many active players, but there are many people who would be more than willing to help a video like this who have good knowledge.
I have massive personal qualms with how you put a clickbait title to draw in views, while also seriously putting down other players even if you didn't mean it; even worse is when you don't appear to actually know the subject matter. "Extra and Phantasm are not popular scoring categories because they're more survival focused" is a blatant lie, and you should know better than to spread such misinformation to your large audience using your influence.
It should also be obvious that regurgitating numbers to an audience who most likely have no understanding of a game's scoring system is not going to be useful. PCB's border mechanic is complicated, but there's no excuse for not explaining how the hell it works to even attempt to explain the intricacies of each replay.
Yes, it's nice that someone with a following is making videos on gameplay history. But it is highly disappointing that it ends up looking very much like a content farm instead of an informative documentary.
