Thanks! My tiny 35grain .22-250 bullet screams out of the muzzle at ~4350FPS, so multiplying that times 720=3,132,000, so I divide that by my twist rate of 1:12” to get below 300,000. Thanks again! Truly enjoy hearing experts talk about something I really enjoy!
Nice that not bad my 220 swift does the 35 grain at 4550 safely and I have 22 creedmor in order as I’m excited but my fav rifle and cartridge atm is my 28 inch barrel ruger no.1 257 weatherly magnum that is best all around for north america
I just learned of the 22 Creedmoor yesterday. Been watching these videos on it since. I REALLY hope It gets more popular SOON, cause I REALLY REALLY want one!!!
I been wishing y’all would start producing 22 creedmore lot of friends want to use it but aren’t willing to get into reloading. Great podcast as always.
Hi Seth, I haven't talked with you in quite a while. Glad to see you're gong well. Great job on the podcast. Take care, stay well and "live long and prosper." :-)) Shalom/gw P.S. Happy Easter to you and all the folks at Hornady!
It's a fun wildcat that has a pretty good point blank range. Nice for coyotes bobbing in and out of the taller grass. The 6 ARC is fantastic, you will love it!
@@hornady 6mm/22 is better than the 22 creedmoor. Where's the factory support for it? You guys aren't pumping out 6mm brass or any other brass for the public for that matter! Stop being cucks to the Democratic Socialist Party and put out shooting products to the American people!
Would be awesome if it was a factory chambered round. Most popular varmint cartridge in my area now. Most people I know are using the affordable 6 creedmoor brass to form it. Does amazing in the wind!
I’m a little perplexed by the myriad numbers of cartridges out there. But, if someone enjoys it and is willing to pay for it, then good on ya for supporting it. I’ll stick with my inexpensive bellybutton (everybody has one) cartridges.
I have a Wildcat cartidge based on a shortened and necked down .284 shot thru a 30 inch 1/8 Hart barrel. It does everything then 22 Creedmoor does and a little more. This Cartridge is very good, but it nothing really not a new concept. I also have a 22-250 Ackley; pretty much the same as this.
Yeah I was surprised when I put it into the ballistic calculator 3200fps 88eldm.... enough energy for deer and down out to 500m with basically no drop or recoil....hopefully they will saami spec it soon .....natural progression really 308 case 6.5, 6 , 22 creed when people do this with the PRC case 6mm, 22 it should add a bit more velocity with shorter barrels
.224 Valkyrie is a .223 length. .22 Creed is a Short Action (.308 length). .224 Valkyrie sits somewhere between .223 and .22 Creed. The .22 Creed, if Im not mistaken, is as fast, or faster than a .220 Swift with the capability of significantly heavier bullets (faster barrel twist). In my eyes, .224 Valk is for an AR-15 platform, the .22 Creed is for Bolt Actions. But someone might use either in both.
I know more case capacity = more powder = more velocity n faster barrel burn I know heavier bullet = high section density and high bc. But how heavy bullet can be loaded on 22cm approx 108 or 125 maximum. Smaller high section density bullet always loose its velocity compared to bigger diameter bullet at the same powder n same case *
It has about 18% more case capacity than 22-250. It is a noteworthy upgrade in energy. Plus the real appeal is 6.5 cm brass is everywhere and even a novice reloader can resize it. Throw in the fact that any existing 6.5 cm rifle can be re-barreled to shoot it and it’s a fantastic round. Of course there’s nothing new under the sun and it’s been done before with some fast wildcat 22’s but with the popularity of 6.5cm this is a very easily approached wildcat as well as having distinct advantages over 22-250
@@AndJuan247 I really don't like seeing the ammo companies dictating what we shoot or we don't shoot but what I was really talking about was the 22 250 Ackley improved
@@jeffreywilson690 A podcast about a wildcat that is literally unavailable outside of reloading is determining what we shoot? Nice ad hoc on the AI. It’s performance is comparable albeit ever so slightly slower in my experience (50ish fps with same bullets)

Is there a point that you can't spin a solid copper bullet or is it indestructible.

Great Podcast
My 6 ARC, I just ordered, due to your last podcast, will run 58gr to 108gr. Why would I need this caliber?

A .22 copper would be relatively fur friendly don't you think??
.22 in .44 out.
Funny this pops up 10 minutes after I hear the news the 22 creed was just saami approved
Now, this is interesting.
seriously though, when are you going to start manufacturing 22 creedmoor... and beyond that, 25 creedmoor and 7 PRC.

That 90gr is crazy. I wish they would go longer, heavier to knock off the 22-250 for deer.
22 creed SAAMI when? would love an ar10 in 22 creed
22 ARC? When's thst coming
22 Grendel exists as a wildcat.
Probably next year at this rate
A 6 mm prc sounds nice ..
Sierra 95gr, 7 twist, under 2900fps... 1500yds capable and keeps up easily with the big boomers
There's 224 Velkerie wphy 22 creedmoor
Valk is problematic for handloaders and doesn't provide much more than standard 223 Rem. 22 Creed you are able to push a 95gr bullet at 3000 fps.

Can the Valk push a 90g SMK to 3500fps and hold 1/2 MOA to 1000y? Nope!
