Voting is biased....majority of viewers are white females so of course that's going to reflect in outcome....proof of this is that Matthew was dead last when we know damn well he was not last. They shouldn't have shown the artists to avoid this but whatever.
Okay good, everyone loves Shani not just me. She’s such an awesome artist and her personality is everything. I loved it when she said “In art you have no rules really, except for the ones Slew inventing” she’s too adorable and slew cracks up right after, too funny.
Personally think Shani performed best in all three challenges. In the constraint, skill was amazing in both values and accuracy, despite having ended up with the last chosen tool. The technical, I just really enjoy the composition and placement of all the individual pieces. Theres a lot of nice hatching and lineweight and… yeah, good stuff. And the last one is so colorful and has so much movement. IMO, it shows a lot of personality and has a lot of movement compared to the others rigid depictions. Really good demonstration about how less is sometimes more
I loved both Cienna's and Shani's final pieces the best, but I really liked the idea behind Zac's work. In terms of the skull Shani's was lovely, but Matthieu's had an almost eerie element to it as in I could really see the shadow's at play.
As a left handed person, putting the only left handed person on the furthest right side is just mean lmao right handed and left handed people hit their arms trying to work that way. Lefty on the left, righty on the right
This one is the hardest for me to choose of all these competitions so far. Each person has so much style and technical skill that it's hard to pick out a favorite
One thing that puts me off about this set up is that they can all see each others work as it unfolds, this encourages ideas and maybe stealing an element of someone else's art work, grabbing inspiration from your opponents, I think they should be stood in a square formation so everything they do is 100% their own and not quickly ripped from the person beside them.
I’d make this a full 45 mins. I’d bring in 2 guest judges. Bring back artists as judges. Have the judges talking about what the artists are doing. Put a big digital countdown clock on the wall. Great show!
Shanni has a very interesting minimalist style. Very refreshing. Zac had an excellent final piece, though everyone did quite well. I would love to see you guys tackle drapery!

They are all dope! Zac's idea for the flower bouquet was awesome, bringing the skull back. Loved Shani's use of color. Cienna's flowers were lush and alive. Mattieu was good at all 3. They all did good in their own ways.
Love the Neocolor IIs as a challenge medium, lots of options for using different combinations of the dry and wet properties there Would love to see a Neocolor I challenge (maybe with optional watercolor to take advantage of wax resist?)

For me, Challenge 1 (Constrained) goes to Shani, Challenge 2 (Technical) to Matthew, and Challenge 3 (Masterpiece) to Cienna.
