To Pierre Fournier or Casals I can hear may be only once to the end any of the Beethoven's sonatas, but to hear to Jacqueline du Pré I can hear hundred times without getting boring and nerved.
So varied and imaginative and Barenboim never overlays yet the big sections are powerful yet balanced. I love the improvisatory sections in the first movement so BEAUTIFULLY paced just gorgeous~

Daniel Barenboim in etwa in dem Alter wie Beethoven, als er in Berlin beide Sonaten op. 5 schuf..., dem preußischen König, der auch passabel Cello spielte, gewidmet. Schön, dass an eine der großen Virtuosinnen auf dem Cello mittels dieses Clips erinnert wird.
