That’s awesome you’re in that frame of mind now. I wish I had been when I was younger. I didn’t start until I was in my late 30s and had to play catchup and really relearn how to do a lot financially.
When we moved to a small farm last year, I started a 🚜 🐣🦆🐎binder, which has been such a help in saving for items we need and keeping track of expenses. Thanks for all you do!❤
I debate with myself about keeping the money I have saved in cash or putting it into savings. I hesitate to put it in the bank for some of the same reasons you do not put all your funds into savings-I fear I will lose sight of what the money is for. I am soon going to more of a fixed income when I retire from work and have been working on paying off consumer debt - my biggest lesson to learn for myself is how I handle credit and breaking the habit....

Love your videos. Just wrote our first zero based budget this week! How do you keep record of how much is in each envelope? I see you use the budget and cash denominations pages to stuff. But I haven’t seen a page where it lists the balances. I’m new to this and would love any pointers.
We don’t! If there’s cash in the envelope, we can spend it, but if there’s not, then we don’t spend out of that category 🖤 I have too much of my life to keep straight and trying to get my husband to keep track of that is just too much for us right now 😅
@@theaestheticdollar I hear ya. My energy is focused elsewhere too. I have a one year old and my husband is not a write things down kinda guy either. I guess your system and the EveryDollar app all works together. I started using the app a while ago but didn’t really get into using it correctly until recently.
No the place holder is to replace the money she took out of the envelopes to let her know where the money belongs.. for example I have $100 in an envelope I want to put in account I take the cash out of the envelope and put the placeholder in place of cash so I know that $100 in the account belongs in whatever envelope I took it out of... I hope I didn't confuse you more...😅

On the calculator it was 2450.00 + putting the 50.00 for Father's Day and 1800.00 for the Freeze Dryer=4300.00 😇
