Nailed it. No live editing sucks. Why don't people understand that? I love the comments that say you should watch some videos to learn it. Lmao, learn EVERYTHING about the pedal, it still sucks to set up.
Too late now. HeadRush has stepped up to the plate and now has way better technology. Super Cloning will be the future of capture tech and HeadRush is the only one that has it. The rest will be scrambling next year to get it and catch up.
I don't mind the software at all... It may be a bit slow, but hey... whatevs... The only thing that I'm missing from Tonex one is MIDI capability. I don't get what you mean by "Live editing"... just turn the knobs on the unit?...
@@pauliusmscichauskas558 I’ll clarify-by “live edit” I’m meaning that when you edit something in software while the pedal is plugged in the changes don’t automatically apply. You have to change the settings, save the preset, change pages, and then upload the preset. It’s incredibly tedious and makes dialing in amps a huge pain.
i've got tonex one and finally figured out how to just use it with the presets after having since they came out. i literally had set it up with two amp models like the first day and just switched between it to the extent i used it at all.
Watch the Studio Rats and Jason Sadites videos on how to adjust the input trim and live edit the pedal. You are running the input trim too hot. Try 8,5 and lower.
Thanks! With my experience I was getting virtually no output volume at sub-8.5, which is why I have it cranked so high. Any idea how to get more output volume with a lower input trim?
@@EverydayChurchGuitarist Experiment with different captures. They can differ in volume a lot. Keep the input and output levels in the same settings in the software.

If the set up does not become a preset, the effects will not go to the pedal. If you upload it from a user folder, it won't go to the pedal either. Bizarre software. This is with the new update.
You speak the truth. Do you experience those pop ups when a preset is paid? You can't clear it by pressing Ecs. You have to reach for your mouse (pick in hand), manually cancel it and select another one while it makes a terrible noise. No way of knowing in advance if it is paid either. If listening to paid presets was a nicer experience I'd be more inclined to pay for them. Despite all of this, if you put the work in, it is worth it.
Time consuming and keeping away from making music....then always those misleading get free here and there and amplitube with tonex and then you get all the mess with CS versions and other confusing packs... Tonenet is ok . The hardware itself is awesome. I am a mac user and linux and windows.. I wish they would just make it all in an aplitube software and noz mixing them up... it sucks--- Same for the free packs they offered when u buy. ... it was just more messy. ;)
Oh my gosh, I shared your video over on a facebook group and oh my god you should see all the tears being shed there. How dare you poop on tone x that way!!!! Boooo hoooo hooooohoooo hoooahh. You are spot on there is no excuse for the software it can and needs to be done better. Needing to spend hours and hours searching for info by others to use this pedal is rediculouse. It should already be done in a streamlined editor that is easy and intuitive to use. End of story, no one is trashing tone x its just the contrary. This very well could be the holy grail of guitar pedals; the software is the only thing holding it back from becoming as such.
Its like Tone X invented the wheel but made it square. It will get you there but the ride will be bumpy. Tone X users are like go over here to this RUclipsr and he will show you how to chissel it round. You are mising point; it should already be round. Searching for info is not always straight forward; sometimes the info is not what you are looking for and you just wasted time watching a video that did not solve your issue. I dont have time for that; I want to plug in and test a capture on the device with USB only through my gear playing thru with my guitar. Totally agree. This pedal has the opportunity to take over the entire market but it fell short on execution. Like 90% there and…well…bummer.
