I do have some advice for a fellow australian. Your niche is way too targeted. Gaming niche is hard enough as it is. You should come up with a brand for yourself. Make videos on whatever you feel like and put your heart and personality into it. Scripted and appealing to everyone. Gamer or not. I suggest making shorts too and the number 1 rule should be "could literally anyone watch this?" If you want to grow, go shamelessly where the views are.
thanks for your comment man, i mainly post non-commentary vids as thats what i enjoy/watch on youtube anyways and i understand that it's already has its BIG DOGS on top + I only started posting vids because my pc didnt have enough storage, However, i do plan to implement more editing/adding subtitles to properly convey what i'm feeling and to add a little distance when comparing myself to other non-commentary content. You do make a point with Shorts, I gotta start uploading them :) Thanks again my fellow aussie!
@@aaronvmmiv No problem! I have had a somewhat decent start to youtube, getting 17k subs so far, in 8 months. Some folks in the newtubers subreddit are such good people who really want to succeed. Capcut for PC is great for editing, I use for both shorts and longform. A program called TarTube is good for downloading youtube videos in HD for B-roll.
