My 4 year old daughter was standing next to me as I watched your story. She was born on Oct 7, 2019! We are taking this as a sign. There is a reason I am here watching your videos today!

Awww, love the backstory! Amazing! I’m friends with Olya, we were in Sianna Sherman’s rasa yoga ytt together:) I recognized the studio when I saw your videos immediately! And I texted olya and asked her if she was still the owner and she no actually! And I told her, I thought so Because I just saw the studio in Ashley videos! Small connected yoga you tube world! Out studio is on block island Ri and in Costa Rica . Love your videos !

Yes! The studio still pretty much looks the same as when Olya owned it. There wasn't much I needed to change. It's gorgeous. Just unfortunate that I haven't been able to do much with it besides make videos in the last year. We're running some classes now but it's still been rough.

That's awesome to know that you finally bought the studio. Where did you learn yoga. Are you planning to visit India to enhance your practice.

Such a great story, thanks for sharing! Since you’re enjoying the online format more now, do you think you’ll be giving up the physical yoga studio space? ...I guess it works well as your yoga training/ RUclips/ online classroom space too. 😬

I've thought a lot about this, but I absolutely love the location and having a place to go away from home. If my online business can sustain it and/or if I can be more of a hands-off studio owner, I think that I'd be happy to try to keep it going. My lease goes through February, and I suppose the terms of the lease (new building owners) will affect my decision. If they raise rent 2x for some reason, then I'd likely not continue. And I would love to host another YTT this fall, and the studio is great for that. Time will tell.

@@AshleyHagen sounds like a good plan! I hope they keep the same rent! 🙌❤️

I would love to become a yoga studio owner and teacher! I don't know how much it would cost especially as I am hot yoga qualfiied and there are no hot yoga studios where I live so would need to heat one room in the studio but it is my ultimate dream and there is a real gap for it where I live rurally! So feel I need to get on it as soon as possible.

When you mentioned LLC and such I had to comment to ask if you have a video for that side of yoga business. I’m in CA and an LLC is $800… so many unknowns in that topic on RUclips. Just saying. #halp lol

I do have a video on it, but it’s in my coaching course. I don’t necessarily recommend starting an LLC right away. Just make sure you have liability insurance to cover yourself. California and a few other states are just so darn expensive to maintain an LLC and not necessary for a low liability business like yoga teaching UNTIL or IF you want to open a physical studio, take out loans, sign contracts and such that involve more risk in your business. For starters, you can be a sole proprietor for a while, until the $800/year makes more sense. I didn’t start my LLC until I took over a yoga studio in 2019. In Washington, it was $200 and about $65/year to maintain. (None of this is legal advice, I am not a lawyer)

Love this you’re so cute. I’m trying to buy a place and it’s tough. I’ll either buy land and build or I’ll have to turn another type of business into a studio. Write me back !!! 🤗

You can take over my studio if you'd like. There are currently for lease signs in the window. I've decided to let it go. But if you aren't in this area, or you are looking for something else, good luck! It's very fun and fulfilling to own and run a studio. I really enjoyed it. My life just isn't in the right place to run a studio anymore.

What was the yoga studio is now "Poulsbo Candy Shoppe" and it's doing really well. You are commenting and giving advice on old videos. Everything is really good over here and I'm not currently looking for another business coach.
