The RMS Lusitania was an Ocean liner that was sunk during World War I in 1915 by a German submarine. 1,193 people were killed, helping get the United States involved in the war two years later. Just like the three heroic priests on board the Titanic, Fr. Basil William Maturin chose to remain on board giving absolution to those who slowly awaited their fate.
